"How many of the poor are trampled on in our day! . . . Among them, I cannot fail to include the migrants and refugees who continue to knock at the door of nations that enjoy greater prosperity" -Pope Francis, quoted in the article in the OP

Didn't the Church at some point recognize that unlimited immigration wasn't feasible? And if we were going to do unlimited immigration, wouldn't it be logical to call for letting in everyone on the waiting list to come in legally in first? Why isn't anyone protesting about migrants and refugees calling for that?

“The Pope is profoundly saddened by their deaths, and is praying for them and for all migrants who have lost their lives while seeking to flee war and misery,” Holy See Press Office interim director Alessandro Gissoti said June 26."
Who is causing all this 'war and misery' down in South America, that Pope Francis is talking about?

Jesus tells us that those of His followers, 2 billion Christians on earth at present, who do not tithe properly, which causes the poor to suffer and die, are the ones who hate Him. I figure that if 2 billion Christians were tithing, out of love for Jesus, this would be over a trillion dollars a year to help the poor in South America, and the rest of the world. Jesus tells us that He is going to burn in hell those of His followers who hate Him by not tithing to care for the poor.

John 15:22
"To hate me is to hate my Father. Had I not performed such works among them as no one has ever done before, they would not be guilty of sin; but as it is, they have seen, and they go on hating me and my Father."

Matthew 25:34
Then the king will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, will answer him and say, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? When did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? When did we see you ill or in prison, and visit you?’ And the king will say to them in reply, ‘Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.

Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you accursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, a stranger and you gave me no welcome, naked and you gave me no clothing, ill and in prison, and you did not care for me.' Then they will answer and say, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or ill or in prison, and not minister to your needs?' He will answer them, 'Amen, I say to you, what you did not do for one of these least ones, you did not do for me.' And these will go off to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."

Good question. There are a lot of mixed messages in the Church.

Why do they use photographs of dead children when it comes to pushing the mass immigrant crisis on each countries populace. They never show dead bodies of children any other time I can recall.

I agree with you. If you want to see a sea of dead bodys at the boarder, go to North Korea, right?

There really is no tyranny crisis in South America, compared to the tyranny crisis in China, Russia and North Korea.

With the huge protests in Hong Kong over Chinese human rights oppression, I think Pope Francis is really talking to the Chinese people, in that they should not tolerate this inhumane treatment from Chinese government and they should rise up, and end it, like America did in 1776.

Pope Francis looked like a pushover in China and Russia, because he knew that he would be assassinated if he spoke out against these ruthless dictators. I think this is Pope Francis' way of speaking out against Xi Jinping, of China, and, Putin in Russia, without getting himself killed.

Does anyone know how Pope Francis' open boarders policy is working at, sovereign nation status, Vatican City State? Pope Francis would be a huge hypocrite if he himself was still evicting illegal migrants out of the Vatican, when Swiss Guards go to shut the Vatican down for the evening. I have not seen any documentaries on illegal immigrants taking up residence in Vatican City State. Does anyone know how the illegal immigrant situation is going in Vatican City State?
