Yes indeed!
How about Head and Tail in the Bible
Wait.
First, you need to read 1st Cor 11:1-16 and Eph 5:21-24.
Just like Christ is the head of every man (including every woman) and the man is the head of a woman. What does that means? Authority, of course.
Ephesians 1:21-23 KJV
[21] Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
[22] And hath put all things under his feet, and
gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
[23] Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
We see that Jesus is above ALL AUTHORITY, and all things are in subjection to him, and he is the head (authority) over the church. Selah. Again we see the term "head" being used in the context of authority:
Colossians 3:18 KJV
[18] Wives,
submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.
We see consistent teaching of Paul of subjection of the wife to the husband. Therefore, the word, "head," when speaking of the husband being the head of the wife, cannot mean that he is controlling her or that he is her source as some people claimed. It must be dealing with authority as he is the authority of his household just as Christ is the authority of His Church.
Now, when we read in Revelation, the heads are in fact kings, just as the horns are in fact kings. It's the same symbolic imagery and the same methodology applies. For example:
Revelation 17:9-10
- " And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sitteth.
- And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space."
This calls for wisdom, not for us to figure out with world empire or person but rather understanding its symbolism as it is speaking about spiritual kingdom. The beast of Revelation 17 is Satan himself with seven heads upon it. Remember the number seven (7) signifies totality. Satan had the totality of authority since the fall of man which the heads (symbolizing authority) "are" also seven mountains (symbolizing kingdoms) are seven kings (symbolizing rule). So the seven heads (signifying authority and leadership) are all actually 7 kings (signifying totality of rule that Satan had.). It is all interconnected symbolism. Not only is the 7 kings symbolic, but we read the 7 kings are 7 mountains, which is also symbolic. Of course, some people are trying to link heads to some physical nations/empires/men but this is not what God meant. The 7 heads are actually
seven periods of authoritative rule of the beast, which in totality is its
complete rule throughout time
since the fall of man. That is
UNTIL five of the heads are fallen when Christ went to the Cross. It means that
Satan's authority has been taken away so that Christ could build his church in the world, REGARDLESS of nations it went as Satan's power was not able to stop them. That is when Satan's head (authority) has been wounded. Yes, he still rules in the world through unsaved men, but have lost the power/authority to
prevent people from being saved by the testimony of the church that Christ (now have all things under his authority) sent. That is
until the SEVENTH HEAD comes but only last for a short space. This will not happen UNTIL Christ has finished building his church with His Elect. Once it happens, Satan shall come out of the bottomless pit and have his authority fully restored (head healed) but only for a short time. He is that LITTLE HORN which signifies the short time of his power to rule! He is the EIGHTH but IS OF THE SEVEN. It means that he shall come out of bottomless pit and God allowed his authority to restore once again to the totality but only for a short season. Therefore, the beast that was (Satan) is not, is an eighth but is of the seven. Satan, as being eighth, is the LITTLE HORN that Daniel talked about. It means that Satan's power will be full but only for a short time before Christ returns.
That is it. Nothing to do with nations, empires, or president, prime ministry, or movie star at all! We can't say a
head is not a king or a
horn is not a king, or a
horn is not a head, because
it's all symbolical and tied intimately together to paint a bigger picture of a powerful kingdom and its reign. Far more powerful and deadlier than any empire in world history you can think of! Remember our battle is with spiritual principalities, not flesh and blood (physical nations/empires). Some people with carnal minds won't understand or deny this but Christ did warn that it calls for a WISDOM which reuiqres the spirit of God to reveal things spiritually. Spiritually discerned.
Enough for now. Off to work
