Do people know that they are praying to the Devil and his demons if they are not praying in the spirit of Jesus of Nazareth?

John 4:24. "God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.". Galatians 4:20. "Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, "Abba, Father.". Jude 1:20. "But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit,".

Do you guys think they had forgotten that the Devil and his demons are spirits living in the elements of the earth?

Colossians 2:20 "If with Christ you died to the elemental spirits of the world, why, as if you were still alive in the world, do you submit to regulations—". Ephesians 6:12. "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.". Luke 11:24. "When an evil spirit leaves a person, it travels through the desert, looking for a place to rest. But when it doesn't find a place, it says, "I will go back to the home I left." ".

Do people know how dangerous it is to make assumptions about what kind of spirits you allow into your hearts?

2 Corinthians 11:4. "For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.".

Because those who had received the spirit of Jesus of Nazareth knows from their hearts that it is the Son of God. Romans 8:16. Those who had evils spirits are not sure what they got. Since only the one true God is not a God of confusion. 1 Corinthians 14:33

So I guess I'm just trying to promote awareness and plead with you people to be careful about the God you are praying with and to. Since the Devil is going around handing out miracles like candies to his lying childrens nowadays.

2 thessalonians 2:5-7: "Don’t you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things? And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time. For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way.".

Hey, Harrisburg PA? :)

Why do you say you've lost all hope? Yes, many are serving Satan without realizing it and by praying for ungodly things may even be unknowingly praying to Satan. But all hope isn't lost! There are people who literally, intentionally worshipped Satan yet somehow God turned their lives around and made them followers of Jesus instead.

For a Biblical example, look at the Apostle Paul (Saul). He was most certainly an instrument of Satan as he drug the early Christians out of their homes and had them imprisoned. He approved of Stephen's stoning. He was actively seeking to eradicate the Church and thought it was making God happy! But through a miraculous event, Jesus turned his life around. That still happens to this day, just not necessarily with a blinding light (though I've heard stories of that, too).

Don't let Satan have a foothold in your own life by causing you to be discouraged. That can also be a kind of spiritual attack. There's a reason the Bible instructs us to give praise and rejoice in the Lord. Don't be blind to the world's woes, but don't let the darkness suffocate you either.

You don't pray to the devil on accident.

Of course you do.

2 Corinthians 11:3
"But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent's cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ.".
2 Corinthians 4:2-4.
"Instead, we have renounced secret and shameful ways. We do not practice deceit, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by open proclamation of the truth, we commend ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers so they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.".

They are considered "non believers" because they don't understand the part of the gospel that saves. In other words they don't understand God's grace so they can't have God's grace, which is the new spiritual birth in Jesus of Nazareth.

John 3:5-6
"Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.".

So everyone who is not born again spiritually is praying to the Devil without knowing it. Because you don't need to be born again spiritually to have faith.

The people in the ancient days worship God and p re at to him without God's grace.

Genesis 4:26 "Seth also had a son, and he named him Enosh. At that time people began to call on the name of the LORD".

No, none of those are examples of people praying to the devil. Being deceived by the devil doesn't mean praying to him.

People who pray to other gods is an effort in futility as those gods are vain and powerless in comparison to our God. We have access to the true God through the blood and mediatorship of Jesus Christ.

I like Rock and Roll Music!

Hope I'm not a Devil worshiper.

I like power metal and I worship my own flesh. This band believe in and promote the doctrine of predestination. They preach better than most Calvinists I know.

I guess you've missed the part where it said "blinded by the devil".

They weren't just confused by some facts they can't process in their minds. There is a person who is actively doing the blinding. The Devil.

The whole world is under the power of the Devil. Those who had not recieved the spirit of Jesus of Nazareth are considered to be "the world" according to the apostle John. 1 John 5:18-21

We know that anyone born of God does not keep on sinning; the One who was born of God protects him and the evil one cannot touch him. We know that we are of God, and that the whole world is under the power of the evil one. And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true—in His Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. Little children, keep yourselves from idols.

The thief cometh not, except to STEAL,KILL AND DESTROY. That's all the devil does. He offers no miracles that are devoid of his intentions above. Those who have the spirit of God dwelling in them can't mistakenly pray to the devil for;
“Also, the Spirit helps us. We are very weak, but the Spirit helps us with our weakness. We do not know how to pray as we should. But the Spirit himself speaks to God for us, even begs God for us. The Spirit speaks to God with deep feelings that words cannot explain.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:26‬ ‭ICB‬‬

Fear, paranoia are not of the God. The instructions from our Lord are clear on how we should pray and about the things we should watch out for while praying (Matthew 6). He warns us not be pharisaical, showing-off etc. Nothing is mentioned about mistakenly praying to the devil!

2 Timothy 3:5
They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that.

"Act religious" includes worship, prayers, fellowship, moral living, doing charity, studying religious texts..etc. All the love and good deeds you can think of can go on that list.

2 Timothy 3:13
while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.

They do all of this to promote their faith in the world.

Philippians 3:19
Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things.

They practice their faith for earthly gains.

The same thing happened to Jesus's followers back then.

So when the crowd saw that neither Jesus nor His disciples were there, they got into the boats and went to Capernaum to look for Him. When they found Him on the other side of the sea, they asked Him, “Rabbi, when did You get here?” Jesus replied, “Truly, truly, I tell you, it is not because you saw these signs that you are looking for Me, but because you ate the loaves and had your fill. Do not work for food that perishes, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on Him God the Father has placed His seal of approval.”.

They follow Jesus because they believed him. Yet they don't know that they are lost. So all thing can think about is food.

I guess some does munch on him nowadays to "nourish" their faith.

It is not the spirit of God you recieve but the spirit of God's son Jesus of Nazareth. For Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one can go to the father but through me." and "I will not leave you as orphans, I will come to you.".

The pharisee often mistaken the fact that he is very close to God when he's not. Remember that story in the temple where the pharisee were went all up in there in God's "face" to pray while the sinner stood far away knowing that he is lost and are a disgrace in God's sight? I don't think the pharisee was doing that to show off but rather he thought he was better than the sinner behind him so he got overconfident about his own righteousness.

Jesus of Nazareth adequately explained the pharisee's problem for everyone to see.

When Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, He found the man and said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?”a “Who is He, Sir?” he replied. “Tell me so that I may believe in Him.” “You have already seen Him,” Jesus answered. “He is the One speaking with you.” “Lord, I believe,” he said. And he worshiped Jesus. Then Jesus declared, “For judgment I have come into this world, so that the blind may see and those who see may become blind. Some of the Pharisees who were with Him heard this, and they asked Him, “Are we blind too?” “If you were blind,” Jesus replied, “you would not be guilty of sin. But since you claim you can see, your guilt remains.”

Not praying to the devil either.

No praying to the devil here either.

No Biblical indication that any of them prayed to the devil.

Here is my last shot:

1 Peter 5:8
Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

The apostle Peter told his readers to watch out for the Devil and his demons.

1 Timothy 4.
The Spirit clearly says that in the last times some will turn away from what we believe. They will obey spirits that tell lies. And they will follow the teachings of demons. Those teachings come through people who tell lies and trick others. These evil people cannot see what is right and what is wrong. It is like their conscience has been destroyed with a hot iron.

Because they will go around spreading heresies through their servants. So that whoever believe in these heresies will be just like their servants: they will destroy their conscience and allow demons to work in their lives.

2 Timothy 2.
Make every effort to present yourself approved to God, an unashamed workman who accurately handles the word of truth.

Paul told Timothy to watch out for heresies.

But avoid irreverent, empty chatter, which will only lead to more ungodliness, and the talk of such men will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus, who have deviated from the truth. They say that the resurrection has already occurred, and they undermine the faith of some.

Because it could corrupt the faith.

Nevertheless, God’s firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord must turn away from iniquity.”

Everyone who wants to know God must practice the proper faith.

A large house contains not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay. Some indeed are for honorable use, but others are for common use. So if anyone cleanses himself of what is unfit, he will be a vessel for honor: sanctified, useful to the Master, and prepared for every good work.

Those who practice a corrupted faith or defile religion will end up serving the Devil.

Flee from youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

The person who practice defiled religion will chase after selfish ambitions. Because they envy what other people have. James 3:14-16

But reject foolish and ignorant speculation, for you know that it breeds quarreling. And a servant of the Lord must not be quarrelsome, but he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, and forbearing.

They will argue about doctrines and create divisions out of the faith. (Please follow Paul's train of thoughts here and don't interpret things in blocks)

He must gently reprove those who oppose him, in the hope that God may grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth. Then they will come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, who has taken them captive to his will.

Paul told Timothy to set them straight so they can properly understand the truth. He means the gospel of the glory of Jesus of Nazareth. So that they may get God's grace in this life and be saved.

Jesus of Nazareth said, "whoever is not with me is against me. Whoever does not gather with me scatters". I don't see a middle ground here do you?

That's why you see so many denominations in the Christian faith because they are not preaching the right gospel. People even treat denomination like it is a "necessary evil" when it is a work of the Devil.

So I hope you can see that whoever practice defile religion is worshipping and praying to the Devil.

None of that is praying to the devil, or worshiping the devil. Both of those are intentional acts. What those verses talk about is serving the devil's purposes because the people in question are deceived. That's serious, but it's not prayer or worship.

I think if you're praying to be healed you're probably OK, or for people to be saved. But if you're praying for your enemy to be destroyed, then maybe that's bad? Is that what you meant?

No. It's not about the content of the prayers but rather "in whose name" you are praying with. It's simple logic. Only those who have gotten the spirit of Jesus of Nazareth in this body can call the one true God Elohim "father". Because God is looking for worshiper who worship in spirit and in truth. Not just in truth which can produce faith by itself. But the spiritual new birth gets you connected with Elohim in the Son of God. That's why the apostle John said we understand who God is through the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth AND we are in Jesus of Nazareth (United with him in spirit) Understanding alone cannot save anyone is the point.

So who are you calling "God", "Father", "Lord", "Holy Spirit" in your prayers if you are not in Jesus of Nazareth? Naturally it will be the Devil because the dead are asleep in hades and no one can wake them up except God and his son Jesus of Nazareth. Because Jesus of Nazareth said, I am the resurrection and the life. This means he can give eternal life and eternal death to anyone he choose. And the Judgement day is known to his Father God only. So no dead person is conscious until then. Obvious you can't pray to the spirits in heaven because only God is omnipresent. King David said, "Where can I hide from your spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there." Psalms 139 and you need serious counseling if you pray to people who are alive. You might as well just text or call them up for a favor.

If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there." That is strange doctrine that your trying to teach. Anyone can pray to God. And the Lord's prayer doesn't say anything about the devil being the recipient:

Matthew 6:9-13:

9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

I present to you logical reasoning and biblical support and all you can see is that it's strange? I know I wasn't speaking in parables. This is strange.

Your God is stuck in time. This is what the apostle Paul have to say about it. "You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ.". and "Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you--unless, of course, you fail the test?".

Lastly Jesus of Nazareth will say, "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day.".

How can you pray to God if you are not even saved? When have God changed his mind about salvation? How can God honor your prayers if you dont even honor his son Jesus of Nazareth?

Kiss his son, or he will be angry and your way will lead to your destruction, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all who take refuge in him. Psalms 12:2
