So Edom ad Bozrah are illustrations? But the use of fire illustratively to describe the literal fact of Nebuchadnezzar destroying them is not applicable? Seems your picking and choosing what you want to be literal and what you want to be illustrative according to your tradition rather than according to the Biblical and historical record. Just like today. Bible based Christianity is spreading like wildfire around the world. Even despite genocidal opposition. And the fruits of that Bible based Christianity, freedom is spreading. Not measured in years or decades but measured in centuries. Yet you ignore that in favor of your tradition that says the world is growing more and more evil as time goes by.
Bozrah and Edom are used as metaphors for peoples now.
The fire from the Lord is prophesied about 70 times. It has not happened yet and to place it in history shows you haven't tried to find the historical facts of what did happen in those ancient battles.

Re the world growing more evil, it can be argued from the human perspective, that things are getting better.
But it isn't what we think, but what God sees that counts. We are told that in the days of Noah, people just got on with life pretty much as we do now.
The people then had no regard of thought for their Maker, so He destroyed them. Our world today, is in a similar state, God is dead, they say.
2 Peter 3:1-7 put it very succinctly; people scoff at the possibility of a Judgment, but that is exactly what will happen.
Your message Daniel Martinovich, is foolish and just leaves you in the dark.
