This would be a strawman argument. BAberean did not say THE GREATEST, but ONE of the greatest. Please read his statement below, a little bit more carefully:
In that regards, as "one" but not "the" greatest, I would have to agree with BAberean. From my encounters with many, but not all, pre-mill/dispensationalists, I have noticed 2 major flaws (don't get me wrong, all theologies have flaws) that are reminiscent of first century Judaism that rejected Christ:
1.) Christ is not yet king or sitting on the throne
Peter literally states that David, Foreseeing that God would fulfill his promise and place his descendent on the throne, spoke of the RESURRECTION. Thus we see the resurrection and ascension of Christ to the right hand as fulfilling God's promise to David.
Acts 2:30-31 But he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him on oath that He would place one of his descendants on his throne. FORESEEING THIS, David spoke about the resurrection of the Christ
The 1st century church declared Christ as king and were persecuted by the jews for that:
Acts 17:7 and Jason has welcomed them into his home. They are all defying Caesar’s decrees, saying there is another king, named Jesus!”
John literally states that Jesus is the ruler of the kings of the earth.
Revelation 1:5 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth.
2.) A future literal temple (Ezekiel's temple) will be rebuilt and animal sacrifices will be reinstated
This is based on a literal interpretation of Ezekiel, even though Ezekiel is a prophetic book, with many symbols and apocalyptic language
Ezekiel 43:25 For seven days you shall provide daily a male goat for a sin offering; also, a bull from the herd and a ram from the flock, without blemish, shall be provided
The author of Hebrews tells us that God took away the sacrifices and offerings through Christ, who sanctified believers ONCE FOR ALL. Animal sacrifices are never needed again.
Hebrews 10:8-10 In the passage above He says, “Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings You did not desire, nor did You delight in them” (although they are required by the Law). Then He adds, “Here I am, I have come to do Your will.” He takes away the first to establish the second. And by that will, we have been sanctified through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
The author of Hebrews goes even further to state that no sin offering is needed where God forgives sins.
Hebrews 10:18 Where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer any offering for sin.
The ceremonial works of the law were only a shadow of Christ, not the reality. Christ has come, therefore the sacrifices of the Ezekiel temple were only picture of the true work of Christ.
Hebrews 10:1 The Law is only a shadow of the good things coming, not the realities themselves.
To understand the Temple of Ezekiel, all one has to do is read Ezekiel 47-48, and then compare that to Revelation 21-22.
Both the Ezekiel temple and New Jerusalem have the river of life flowing from them
Both the Ezekiel temple and New Jerusalem have trees that bare fruit to heal the nations
Both the Ezekiel temple and New Jerusalem have 3 gates on all 4 sides, each with a name of one of the 12 tribes of Israel.
Both the Ezekiel temple and New Jerusalem are the places where God dwells with his people.
The Ezekiel Temple is the New Jerusalem.
