anyone else feel like Jesus' second coming is right around the corner?

No, I really feel that He will return at least before 2030. I will be disappointed if not. How much worse can the world get?
Oh, I dunno, like it was a few centuries ago, maybe? Famine, pestilence, ghastly warfare, torture and/or capital punishment for relatively minor offences, illiteracy the norm, medicine nonexistent by today's standards, ridiculously short life expectancies, most of the world mired in paganism, women treated as chattels in most cultures, a majority of the children born didn't survive to adulthood, unwanted children simply murdered, or "exposed" to starve (especially girls), rank superstition normal amongst the uneducated, which is to say the vast majority of the population, on and on. "Ah, the Good Old Days", right? Yeah, right. Sorry, but the "things have never been this bad before" schtick is unalloyed hogwash. We're all unimaginably better off than our ancestors were. Is there still sin and unbelief? Yep, that's the nature of fallen humanity. We're all of us sinners (not just those guys over there). So if our Lord was waiting to return when things had become as bad as they were going to He missed His window, because conditions for the average human being on this planet have improved by leaps and bounds, even in my lifetime.

Trust me. You just don't want to know the answer to that question.
Any history buff can show you myriad examples of times far, far, far worse than these. But who reads history anyway?

I suppose that you have never read history?
History? Whassat? A lot of years ago I worked for a pharmacist who had been in practice during the Spanish Flu epidemic. The flu swept through the new DuPont company towwn of Old Hickory, Tennessee, and killed thousands of people who had swarmed in to work at the huge new munitions plant they had built for WW1. They literally stacked the bodies of the dead like cordwood. Doc said the only medicine they had that was any good at all was aspirin to try and reduce the fever. No antibiotics, so opportunistic infections probably killed more people than the actual flu did. 20 to 50 MILLION people died from the flu worldwide, and they estimate that 1/3 of the world's population had it. My grandfather survived it, after a week or so of being raving mad from the fever. He had to get back to the fields after that, but he was so weak that he had to lie down between the rows and rest long enough to get his strength back to do a few more minutes work. This, of course, was while my great uncle was being gassed in France, although he wasn't one of the 20 million or so killed in that war. He survived to return to California, but mustard gas had left him a physical wreck. And of course, Europe was left a wreck as well, with Russia falling to the Communists, Germany to the Nazis, Italy to the Fascists. There was a brief interval between one nightmarish war and another, with more millions upon millions ground under the wheels of the juggernaut of global war.

And these folks just can't imagine a world any worse off than this one. Right.

Is anyone gonna aknowledge this

The pic says it's supposed to be "in the name of God", which is pronounced "Bism Allah". (Remember Bohemian Rhapsody?) But that's written like this: بسم الله
"Allahu akhbar", which means "God is great", is written like this: الله أك

So whatever squigglery that was isn't what it claims to be, which doesn't surprise me at all. I think the little crossed swords cartoon was the first giveaway.

I know. And the Muslims wear this, guess where, on the right arm and on the forehead.
Since that appears to be gibberish, I doubt that Muslims wear it anywhere at all.

it is now may 9

Ironically, my May 9 topic was moved to another sub-forum.

Three days in May were of special interest to me... May 9, May 14 and May 19. From my perspective, all three are important sign posts to Jesus' return.

This is quite the awesome story Jipsah, thanks for sharing it. Sometimes we in the modern era can tend to forget the nightmares of the past. From the Foxe Book days during the dark ages, to the wars and rumors of wars and pestilences at the begining of the 20th century.

No antibiotics, so opportunistic infections probably killed more people than the actual flu did. 20 to 50 MILLION people died from the flu worldwide, and they estimate that 1/3 of the world's population had it. But do you think there's any chance that this business could have been the pestilence that Jesus mentions from Matthew 24?

"For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences,

World War 1:

World War I, also known as the First World War, the Great War, or the War to End All Wars, was a global war originating in Europe that lasted from 28 July 1914 to 11 November 1918.Wikipedia
Dates: Jul 28, 1914 – Nov 11, 1918
And then famines and pestilences:

The influenza pandemic of 1918-1919 killed more people than the Great War, known today as World War I (WWI), at somewhere between 20 and 40 million people. It has been cited as the most devastating epidemic in recorded world history.
The 1918 Influenza Pandemic - virus
The 1918 Influenza Pandemic

The most devastating epidemic in recorded world history.

"See that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

"All these are the beginning of sorrows.

And the end was NOT yet during those times.

Could Jesus have been placing a 20th century time stamp on the Olivet?

Any history buff can show you myriad examples of times far, far, far worse than these. But who reads history anyway?

But are you sure it's our point of view that matters?

Worse times for humanity? Or is it a worse time for God that we should be recognizing or worried about?

About half way through Revelation 13, it talks about the composite beast opening it's mouth to blaspheme God and His dwelling place and those who live in Heaven. And these are happening during a time when the majority of "people" are saying peace and safety and are thinking everything is fine.

Check out this article from Tennessee:

Tennessee lawmakers pass anti-inappropriate content resolution,
citing "public health crisis"

A joint resolution in the Tennessee General Assembly condemning inappropriate contentography as a "public health crisis" that is making men less interested in marrying passed unanimously in the Senate on Monday.

The nonbinding resolution was sponsored by Sen. Mae Beavers, R-Mt. Juliet, and was passed without any discussion on the Senate floor. It calls for education, policy change, prevention and research on the negative effects of inappropriate contentography.

Specifically, the resolution says that more millennials are exposed to inappropriate content at a younger age, causing eating disorders,

and that "children and youth are exposed to inappropriate contentography that often times serves as their sex education

and shapes their sexual templates."

www.timesfreepress.com/news/breakingnews/story/2017/mar/07/tennessee-lawmakers-pass-anti-inappropriate content-resolution-citing-public-health-crisis/416448/

And shapes their sexual templates.

"She" was "assigned" male at birth:

coveravery.JPG

"Woe to pregnant women and nursing mothers in those days!

Their kids will be starving at every street corner.

Not for a famine of food, but for a famine of the Word.

"Arise, cry out in the night,
as the watches of the night begin;
pour out your heart like water in the presence of the Lord.

"Lift up your hands to him for the lives of your children,
who faint from hunger at every street corner. - Lamentations 2:19

The child on the cover is Avery Jackson, a 9-year-old transgender girl from Kansas City.
“The best thing about being a girl is, now I don’t have to pretend to be a boy,” Avery says in the cover quote.

Many commented on the young age of Avery, who was assigned male at birth but has lived socially as a girl since she turned 5. “We’re cheering on Avery Jackson, a 9-year-old transgender girl,” wrote LGBT advocacy organization Freedom For All USA.

Peaceful Sabbath.

With all the chaos, terrorism, rumours of war, list goes on... it's pretty hard not to feel like the world is coming to an end. There's so much sin its ridiculous, the mainstream media promotes sin. There's sin literally everywhere. It looks like there's a lot prophesies being fulfilled in the middle east. I just got this strong strong, feeling, that Jesus is close to coming around the corner.
Simple question,... am I the only one who feels this way?
June 7, 2018 is a significant day. Jerusalem was recaptured on that day. May 14, 1948 was a significant day, Israel became a nation. So we have 70 years since that day and a full 50 year anniversary for Jerusalem next month. According to Psalm 90:10, one generation is 70 years (unless you are strong, then 80). We've had upheaval in many Muslim countries since Dec. 2010 starting with Tunisia, then like dominoes, Yemen, Egypt, Libya, Syria, etc. Revolts leading to leaders who have been in charge for decade to be removed (plucked) from their thrones. The little horn will emerge and unite 10 nations (Islamic, not the EU) to attack Israel. Since we have aborted the Iran deal (which was never ratified by Congress or signed by the Ayatollah), and Russia, Iran, Syria and now Turkey may form an alliance along with other nations, yes we are close.
If you examine the Greek number 666, it looks almost exactly like the Arabic phrase, "In the name of allah". I think they are one in the same. If you examine the symbols used for all the gods worshipped from Egypt, Babylon, Medo-Perisia, Assyria, Greece and Rome, you will see the that the crescent moon and star are used. Lucifer's name means morning star/ crescent moon and so it's also interesting that Satan has his name on the top of every Mosque on the planet.
In Rev. 17:10,11, we see five kingdoms have fallen (Egypt, Babylon, Medo_Persia, Assyria and Greece), one is (at the time of Revelation - about 95 A.D., Rome was in power, which btw was not destroyed in 476 A.D. but was ruled in Constantinople to the 15th century at which time the Ottoman Empire [#7] ruled until 1924. The Beast took it's form with each of those former empires and now the 8th, Islam, which was the 7th has been revived again in these last days.
The mark of the Beast is the Islamic symbol worn on the sleeve or headband. The signature of the Beast is confirmed in Rev. 20:4, chopping off heads. The fact that Islam is causing stress throughout the world, famine and genocide in some countries where millions have fled as refugees, should be enough proof of this indictment.
