It is all in the timing.Nevermind the fact that Iran has a centuries long history of earthquakes already. We will just overlook that and assume it is a punishment from God.

That is because it was. My reasoning is more than just speculation because it is a historical and well documented fact.Or like many who profess to believe in Christ, we will immediately assume that it's just a natural occurrence

I agree, Revelation wouldn't have an earthquake [major] as a marker of the passage of events leading to His return, if they were just insequential. That there have been many earthquakes in the past is a fact. For you to assume that God had nothing to do with this (or any of them?) latest one or the concurrent major sandstorm - that is speculation on your part, and not at all a fact provable by you. Indeed, timing is everything.
I think it has more to do with the fact tht the country is sitting atop colliding tectonic plates. Classic geology.Or like many who profess to believe in Christ, we will immediately assume that it's just a natural occurrence, you know because they have a long history of earthquakes.
You know just like they have a centuries-long history of being evil, anti-god, and anti semetic.
G-d laughs at the "wisdom of men" who look at the natural and assume that G-d doesn't use the earth and nature to punish open rebellion against his appointed.
It is always a question of God's timing. Since we know that all the facts in the world moves nothing without God's command.I think it has more to do with the fact tht the country is sitting atop colliding tectonic plates. Classic geology.
The plates are actually moving at a steady rate. They get stuck where they meet by friction, and then when the pressure gets too strong they slip. But the plates are always moving. I think God designed the laws that govern the geology. That's pretty much it.It is always a question of God's timing. As if God doesn't know the timing of the things He set in motion, whether in the world of men or the environment. The plates are actually moving at a steady rate. They get stuck where they meet by friction, and then when the pressure gets too strong they slip. But the plates are always moving. I think God designed the laws that govern the geology. That's pretty much it.
"The LORD said, "Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the LORD, for the LORD is about to pass by." Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake. And after the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire the sound of a low whisper. When Elijah heard it, he pulled his cloak over his face and went out and stood at the mouth of the cave." 1 Kings 19;13
I'm very sure HE does , but do you ?As if God doesn't know the timing of the things He set in motion, whether in the world of men or the environment.

Seems to me like if the Creator wanted to really make it known that He was the one doing the punishment he could do something like........hmmmmm.....I don't know.......rain down fire and brimstone......turn the Ayatollah into a pillar of salt........send down an army of angels to destroy the Iranian military???? You know....real Old Testament "God hates your guts" stuff. So? Why is it that you REFUSE to acknowledge that the Creator is using creation itself to protest the rebellion against the "apple of G-d's eye?"
