Actually Matthew 24:24 means that it IS possible to deceive God's chosen. The Jews were and still are deceived, now we Christians are God's people and error and confusion is rife amongst us.
Its difficult to get any two [thinking] Christians to agree on anything, let alone end times prophecy.

In my postings of what the Prophetic Word actually is telling us, I either get no response or abuse from those whose beliefs are shown to be false.
Paul said in 2 Timothy 4:3-4, that people will stop their ears to the truth and turn to fables.
We certainly see this among the unsaved, but also among Christians too. We must take care to be sure that what we believe is scriptural and not just teachings of men.

I don't know all the answers, but from many years of intensive study, I do know what the next event will be and what the Lord will use to carry it out. I do not know when it will happen.


What I refer to, is the great and terrible Day of the Lord's vengeance and wrath against the nations. This forthcoming Day is prophesied over 100 time in the Bible, as a literal Day of fire, earthquakes, storms and tsunamis. It will change the world and set the scene for all that must happen before Jesus Returns for His Millennium reign.
There are a few signs to watch for before this Day; Malachi 4:5 is one and 1 Thessalonians 5:3 is another. It is the holy Land area that is important to God, Deuteronomy 11:11-12, so it will be an attempted attack onto Israel with nuke weapons, that will trigger God's response. They will all be wiped out. Psalms 83, Ezekiel 30:1-5, Amos 1, Zephaniah 1:13-15, 2 Peter 3:7, Revelation 6:12-17, +

Jesus Christ Returns In the final judgment, eternal life, eternal kingdom, as he clearly taught below.

There will be no future 1000 year kingdom on this earth, with mortal humans present, as Jesus sits on a throne watching mortal humans dying around him.

Verses 31-32 Jesus Returns with the angels, the nations are gathered for judgment.

Verse 34 The eternal kingdom is presented to the righteous.

Verse 41 The wicked are judged to the eternal lake of fire.

Verse 46 The righteous obtain eternal life, and enter the eternal kingdom in verse 34

I am doing that to be best of my ability.
The problem is that people generally don't want to know. They prefer to remain in blissful ignorance and whenever I try to discuss Bible prophecy with a church member, [I never bring up that subject with secular people] their eyes glaze over and the subject is quickly changed.

So the reality is that most people will be surprised and shocked when the terrible Day of the Lord's wrath strikes the earth. That is the way God wants it and it will be the great test for mankind. 1 Peter 4:12

This is interesting. We can see from what is happening now, that the world cannot keep on like it is for ever. In fact, what surprises me and most news followers, is why things have just carried on! I see this as only because God is in control, but the Appointed Day will come, then the world will never be the same again.
You allude to the problem that many face and that is an overload of end times, combined with a proliferation of theories and charts, etc, that all differ, making the average Christian just say; whatever God, just let Your will be done!
This attitude is not right, because God HAS told us what He will do and I view the dismissal and ignoring of so much of the Bible as a kind of sin, one that God may find people accountable for.

2 Peter 1:19 tells us that we do well to study the prophets, it will illuminate our minds. The vital thing is to put aside the teachings and doctrines that are not fully supported by scripture.

Christ, his teachings, and his people are here solving the world's problems in myriad ways. The whole rise of Western Civilization -- science and technology, medicine, the arts, constitutionalism, the jury system, free enterprise, literacy, increasing productivity, a rising standard of living, the high status of women -- is attributable to one major fact: the West has been transformed by Christianity.

The historic eschatology of the Church has nearly always been one of great triumph of Christ's Church over all the earth before the creedal coming of Christ. Augustine and the Catholics, the Puritans, the Reconstructionists, etc -- all these Covenantal-based eschatologies tell the same story of the destined victory of God's people over the current age of paganism.

We are to subdue kingdoms and establish righteousness as the Hebrews 11 heroes did:

The Christian Church walks in this great heritage of unstoppable faith just like our Hebrews 11 brothers and sisters. We are in process of subduing kingdoms, establishing righteousness, and asserting Christ's dominion over all nations through the same faith of David, Samuel, Joshua, and Moses had.
Nothing can stop us (Matthew 16:18-19).

Society is being redeemed by the Atonement of Christ's blood and the power of the Holy Spirit via the Church. Christ's Church is carrying out the reconciliation of the Cross to all nations.
We cannot fail (Matt 16:18-19):

So we can see that at this time God is reconciling all the world unto himself.

Why so many Christians in the western world reject the above biblical facts and instead act like Chicken Littles, claiming every generation is "the last" and that the Devil has some sort of power over the spread of the Gospel and the reformation and repentance of Humanity remains a mystery.
