I have the real thing. Just trusting in Jesus.
Has "just trusting in Jesus" "freed you from the power of sin that leads to death?"
New Living Translation
Romans 8:2
2And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.
Of course. The Bible says so.
So you don't have any more bad impulses and habits, the uncontrollable drives that are in the members of your body making you their prisoner?
Romans 7:23
23but I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members.
You need to finish the scripture.
I’m a miserable human being. Who will deliver me from this dead corpse?Thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then I’m a slave to God’s Law in my mind, but I’m a slave to sin’s law in my body. - Romans 7:24-25 Bible Gateway passage: Romans 7:24-25 - Common English Bible
So now there isn’t any condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death.God has done what was impossible for the Law, since it was weak because of selfishness. God condemned sin in the body by sending his own Son to deal with sin in the same body as humans, who are controlled by sin.He did this so that the righteous requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us. Now the way we live is based on the Spirit, not based on selfishness. - Romans 8:1-4 Bible Gateway passage: Romans 8:1-4 - Common English Bible
So if we try to live solely by the law we are in trouble. Also what we yield ourselves to practice can cause trouble. How do we LIVE? How do you live? (Retorical).

Romans 8:8-17
8 So now there isn’t any condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2 The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death.3 God has done what was impossible for the Law, since it was weak because of selfishness. God condemned sin in the body by sending his own Son to deal with sin in the same body as humans, who are controlled by sin. 4 He did this so that the righteous requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us. Now the way we live is based on the Spirit, not based on selfishness. 5 People whose lives are based on selfishness think about selfish things, but people whose lives are based on the Spirit think about things that are related to the Spirit. 6 The attitude that comes from selfishness leads to death, but the attitude that comes from the Spirit leads to life and peace. 7 So the attitude that comes from selfishness is hostile to God. It doesn’t submit to God’s Law, because it can’t. 8 People who are self-centered aren’t able to please God.
9 But you aren’t self-centered. Instead you are in the Spirit, if in fact God’s Spirit lives in you. If anyone doesn’t have the Spirit of Christ, they don’t belong to him. 10 If Christ is in you, the Spirit is your life because of God’s righteousness, but the body is dead because of sin. 11 If the Spirit of the one who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, the one who raised Christ from the dead will give life to your human bodies also, through his Spirit that lives in you.
12 So then, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation, but it isn’t an obligation to ourselves to live our lives on the basis of selfishness. 13 If you live on the basis of selfishness, you are going to die. But if by the Spirit you put to death the actions of the body, you will live. 14 All who are led by God’s Spirit are God’s sons and daughters.15 You didn’t receive a spirit of slavery to lead you back again into fear, but you received a Spirit that shows you are adopted as his children. With this Spirit, we cry, “Abba, Father.” 16 The same Spirit agrees with our spirit, that we are God’s children. 17 But if we are children, we are also heirs. We are God’s heirs and fellow heirs with Christ, if we really suffer with him so that we can also be glorified with him.
So how are you putting to death the actions of the body so that the righteous requirements of Law can be fulfilled in you? How are you submitting to God's Law? (Not rhetorical, real question).
This is how.
But you aren’t self-centered. Instead you are in the Spirit, if in fact God’s Spirit lives in you. If anyone doesn’t have the Spirit of Christ, they don’t belong to him.If Christ is in you, the Spirit is your life because of God’s righteousness, but the body is dead because of sin.If the Spirit of the one who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, the one who raised Christ from the dead will give life to your human bodies also, through his Spirit that lives in you.So then, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation, but it isn’t an obligation to ourselves to live our lives on the basis of selfishness. If you live on the basis of selfishness, you are going to die. And this
This is how we know that we know him: if we keep his commandments. The one who claims, “I know him,” while not keeping his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in this person. But the love of God is truly perfected in whoever keeps his word. This is how we know we are in him.The one who claims to remain in him ought to live in the same way as he lived. - 1 John 2:3-6 Bible Gateway passage: 1 John 2:3-6 - Common English Bible
Wonderful verses of how we know we know Christ, are saved, by keeping the law, commandments, in the New Covenant.
So have you "put to death the actions of the body"?
Well if I know the verses and are believing in them and striving to follow them and believe in Christ and yet know that John says this
If we claim, “We don’t have any sin,” we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.But if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from everything we’ve done wrong. If we claim, “We have never sinned,” we make him a liar and his word is not in us. - 1 John 1:8-10 Bible Gateway passage: 1 John 1:8-10 - Common English Bible
And Paul says this
Because if Abraham was made righteous because of his actions, he would have had a reason to brag, but not in front of God.What does the scripture say? Abraham had faith in God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.Workers’ salaries aren’t credited to them on the basis of an employer’s grace but rather on the basis of what they deserve. But faith is credited as righteousness to those who don’t work, because they have faith in God who makes the ungodly righteous. - Romans 4:2-5 Bible Gateway passage: Romans 4:2-5 - Common English Bible
So faith and obedience is a dual role in our lives.
Why are you asking? Are you struggling with something that you need advice on and are hoping I might help? I'd be happy to pray for you and council you if you would like me to. You could PM me so we don't have to talk here. Or are you asking just as a general question because you would like to know how best to mortify the deeds of the flesh. Not because you are struggling with something but just as a general information gathering question just in case you or someone else does struggle. If you have another motive for asking then please just say what it is. Then we can discuss what the Bible says about the subject. It's not rocket science. I asked if you've put to death any of "the actions of the body".

I am sorry, but you are coming across as challenging me on something and I am not quite sure what it is you are doing. Yes I have put to death certain deeds of the flesh I might have struggled with. I am growing and learning and being sanctified and maturing. It's a never ending process. If you are looking for advice just say so, but you are coming across as challenging and not in humility.
If I asked you if you got the stylus that was the unique feature of the phone you bought, the feature that was what made it a killer purchase, would it be challenging or would it be educative?
Hey you bought a XYZ Phone? Did you know it comes with a killer feature, blah blah blah?
Hmmm... You didn't answer my questions. Now I'm really confused
I think we are getting close to the end of our conversation because I am still not understanding what you are getting at and what you want.
Replacement theology.
Quite biblical that one.Eternal torture.
