*I'm curious as to why you'd move to a place
that you didn't check out first-- especially when
you don't know anyone there and you don't have
stable employment history?
I live with my mom, but she does not know anyone in the state. California is dead with jobs.

Ok, continue the search. Stay consistent on it. We all are hoping for the best outcome for you.
P.s
Thanks for the compliment and I'm from NJ.
Thanks for being in touch with me. You are so nice. You are welcome and I've never been to NJ. What kind of job do you have? What websites do you use, for job searches? and I"am also shy, silent in real life, so friends are not easy for me to find. :groupray::help::help::help::help::help::help::help:

I told you, that I moved with my mom, she doesnt know anyone in the state either. Her health is not good either.
I moved to the midwest from Southern California. I do not have any friends. I'am looking for a stable entry level contract job. I do not have stable job experience. Homelessness is a possibility in 6 months. I feel lost in the world. I do not know what to do.
Is your mom going to be homeless too or is she just going to kick you out on the street? I don't believe you are being honest with us.

What is a personal support worker job?????????? I"am not that physically strong to shovel show or do heavy duty jobs. I like to bake but the apartment kitchen stove, is electric old too. Let's be in touch.

A Personal Support Worker (PSW) is a health care worker that provides care to those who are not able to care for themselves. This includes seniors, individuals with physical disabilities and individuals with mental disabilities.
Or, you may consider becoming a respite worker. Basically a respite worker helps give relief to family members, who have elderly/sick family members that they're taking care of. So if a daughter is taking care of her elderly mom, you- as a respite worker- would take over in helping her mom and, in turn, give the daughter a break so that she can do whatever it is she needs to do [school/taking care of her own kids/etc].

Shoot, I'm not physically strong to shovel snow either, but you don't have to lift heavy amounts of snow. Just a little section at a time helps. Plus, you don't necessarily need to lift the shovel off the ground. What I personally do is to push a small section of snow with the shovel until it reaches the grass. Besides, your upper body will get stronger from it : )

As for not knowing how to crochet/knit. That's fine too! I didn't know how to do either. But like I've mentioned, going through YouTube videos really helped. Of course, the yarn and the hooks/knitting needles will cost a few, but you can get good deals in thrift stores [for yarn and needles].

You're in my prayers.♥

Call on the Lord.
If you with just your mum, then that's the work the Lord has called you to do, looking after her.
Take everything to the Lord in prayer, and do not worry.

It does seem a bit strange that you don't know anyone and not seeking out a local church fellowship, if you go to one, at least one person will help you or pray for you.

What about your dad? Is he still around? Do you not have brothers and sisters?
If you have a uni degree you can enquire about tutoring. School admin also may need people. Best bet is to sign up with an employment agency. With those kinds of jobs, mostly clerical work, are pretty immediate and will get you earning some cash and also utilise your skills.

support work if you have a nursing background or a people person are always needed for elderly or children with special needs but you said you were 'shy with people in real life' so, if thats the case, then it might not be so good for you.

Don't knock hospitality and cleaning jobs. ok the fast food industry in america is not haute cuisine but if you are a christian and have a servant heart I would not worry about what other people think of it. Even Jesus got his hands dirty.

Biblical advice I can give you is what some posters above said, do not worry like the gentiles do...be thankful you are living today and do not worry about tomorrow. If you do have a worry, take it to the Lord in prayer. He will give you peace and strength to face the day.

I'm sorry Sarah.. I've found it super helpful to seek God in tough times. Seek Him through spending time with Him in His Word, through Christian radio stations like K-Love [where you can listen online to modern Christian songs-super uplifting and I've found that He's spoken to me through songs at just the right time when I needed to hear something the most]. He will help you through this. Be diligent in prayer and keep spending time with Him. He cares about you and what you're going through.
