Kinda harsh to say without knowing another person's opinions on fish and chips, right?

No I think not. The other person's opinion has nothing to do with the fat and grease content of Fish and Chips. I for one am quite fond of Fish and Chips but that does not change the fact that they are at least as greasy as Chick Fil A. Unlike the poster that I was responding to , I have tried both.

Oh, I don't know. Maybe to show that your stance against discrimination (based on choices people make) isn't lopsided.

Well, lets deal with some facts, which I think is always a good thing to do, for clarity.

John's Hopkins, just happens to be a PRIVATE institution and as we have discussed for so long, private institutions are not the same as publically accommodating businesses. For some reason, this has failed to sink in with some, but it is reality.

You see, Liberty University is also a private institution and they could also choose, to not allow the fast food chain on their campus, which has publically made statements in favor of gay marriage. Your church, could also refuse to allow a coffee shop to do business inside their doors, that also has made public statements in favor of gay marriage.

See how that works?

To an outside observer, it all looks very silly. Aren't there some serious issues you people could be obsessing over?

I thought the whole thing was silly too.

People were debating a state law, and some reporter decided to dug up some old comment made by the woman in the past. I guess they decided this quote needed to be aired to show victimization that they were claiming this new law enabled.

That sparked people's anger, and this family became a target. Other's that felt the family being targeted was being treated unjustly- even if they disagreed with their views - donated so they didn't lose their way of life. The fundraiser was started by another media outlet. The amount of cash that flowed in out of this world, and it tells you people felt the original complaint was over the top.

Of course those that were mad are holding on to this, 'Its the Christians that are giving them money' know its a lie...but keep repeating it anyway. Then they complain about the amount of cash that was given, etc. lol not sure that diversion worked, but anyway...

I think they need to target the countries that harm this group all over the world, and YES that includes the middle east. If they keep their wits about them, and show how they plan to approach that? They may be surprised at the amount of cash would flow into that pot too. People should be allowed to love from they do IMO. Other's that don't agree don't want them thrown off buildings, murdered and all the rest you hear about. Although you would never know it by some statements they claim is fact.

Easy solution. If you like it, eat it. If you don't like it, don't eat it.

A lot of people like chik fil a and a lot of people like fish and chips.

Is there such a thing as a healthy food chain? If so I have not come across it here in the Great Lakes region of the country.

^_^Does Sushi Station count?

My young adults love that place.

They do need better fast food joints to choose from though...

What guys are you addressing? I cannot figure out what guys might possibly have the ability to actually manage an economy( as opposed to ruining it by attempting to manage it) or what guys would be empowered to reform a legal system but if such guys exist perhaps they are multitaskers as well and therefore can do more than one thing at a time? I'm sure boycotting or opposing boycotting does not take up that much of one's time anyway and could easily be just a hobby.

By "guys" i was referring to the voting citizenry of the United States.

What was the problem that your solution was addressing? I did not realize that there was any problem.

A lot of people like chik fil a and a lot of people like fish and chips.

I enjoy both from time to time though never in tandem. Still they both are very greasy. I prefer condiments when ingesting them for Chik Fil A mustard seem appropriate to me and a tomato is also a nice accompaniment and for Fish and Chips a little horseradish some vinegar and ketchup. Now I am getting hungry.

I was under the impression that women have earned the right of suffrage in the US as well.

Some good news.

Some recent studies have concluded, greasy foods are not as bad as originally thought.

Fat is brain food i have been told. I am not sure, though, how bad greasy foods were originally thought to be so i can't know how bad it might still remain to be. Nor am i sure what is specifically meant when one calls a food bad. Disobedient? Evil? Naughty? The word bad can be taken in so many ways.

I was using "guys" inclusively. I'm pretty sure my original "guys" comment was directed to a female poster, so I don't think the context was that difficult. Are we playing contrarian games for a reason? Or am I really that difficult to understand?

Cats are known for being inscrutable. I still have no idea why the American voter should be expected to mange an economy and reform a legal system. It is so much easier to just go to a fast food restaurant to eat and watch TMZ as your news source.

There was no problem at all until somebody instantly became some sort of hypocrite over an observation of a chik fil a sandwich.

No, not really.

The only fuel your brain is capable of using, is sugar (glucose). When that becomes low, your brain doesn't do well, as the brain can not use fat as fuel, like your muscles are able to.

But, even if a person eats a high fat, low carb (sugar) diet, the body will go into ketosis and will manufacture sugar in other ways.

We have laws for a reason.

If you disagree with them, join whatever fight there is to challenge them.

If you don't want to follow them, that is your choice.

Again, Is it only the legal aspect that concerns you?

I agree with the legal aspect that determines there is a compelling interest in treating the public that visits a public accommodating business equally.

I firmly agree, that others should be treated equally, in public environments. How someone else decides to live, has no impact on how I choose to live.

Again, in regards to private matters, discriminate all you like and I fully support this as well.

The CEO chose to attach his corporation to a political movement. He is getting exactly what he wants.

I haven't looked but I don't think anyone at Chick-fil-A is complaining about the decision by the Johns Hopkins SGA. They'll get a plenty good uptick in sales from the hungry, gullible Christians who want to be persecuted along with them.

There is no history of persecution against Christians in America.

If you want to find them, there are plenty of examples of Christians being persecuted in America....and it is becoming more common everyday....I realize that isn't something you want to see, so most likely, you won't see it. People tend to see what they want to see, rather than the facts.
