Thanks for all your prayers.
I know this time will pass , it's just a case of hanging on till it does , and that's the part that at present is very very hard.
Joshua 1:9
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
I'm just soldiering on. Sense of God's presence? Zero.
Trying to show up to church, take communion, go to confession when I can.
Prayer life? Reading? It's all spare moments, bits and pieces, almost no rule, except a dogged "Our Father" before meals and "Into Thy hands" before crashing.
The image of Indiana Jones (in the original film, when he thought Marion had been killed, to Belloq in the bar: "You want to talk to God? Let's go see Him together. I have nothing better to do."
And that about sums it up. I have nothing better to do. Nowhere else to go.
"Where can we go, Lord? YOU have the words of eternal life."(St Peter)
And even though Peter Jackson flubbed the films, Sam's, that is, Tolkien's words ring true.
Praying you'd have grace not to be stuck within that place without encouragement to know how to come out of itI've had a bad day and I'm now at the stage of asking of asking why I'm here .
I don't want to be, but I know I've no option but to be here.
Please pray for me till I emerge from this again
