This type of girl

There's this girl who went out with this guy for years. One day, she went to a different college for a visit and found another pool of guys there. Amongst those guys, a rich, prep boy spotted her and asked if she could be his girlfriend. She decided to go out with the rich, prep boy instead and dumped her boyfriend of many years. This kind of situation happened often to her, but you guys probably know someone who is sort of like this girl.

Guys, would you want to be with this kind of girl? Surprisingly, I see so many guys say no, but really, they do end up going out with this type of girl. Then again, these types of girls are pros, and maybe it's the personality thing or... I don't know.

Eh..

Most people either don't know what they really want or they are too insecure to try for it when it comes, so they say they have a dream of this great person but they instead go for less than that because it is easier and more readily available.

Her life seems more glamorous than mine, lol. Her boyfriend's from another country, is studying to become a doctor, etc. She's pretty, takes good care of herself, goes to a good school, etc.

I'm pretty plain. Had this convo with good old mum since she so kindly brought it up and then she stared going on about why I'm not 'taking care of myself.' It's not like I wear a trash can over me.

The ironic thing about all this is that she left her first boyfriend because he wasn't the one who had the money but his parents, but now her current boyfriend is very rich, but it's not like he's the one who's rich. His parents are. Well, I guess the difference lies in the two guys and their ambition...

No. Although there's not much detail about her in your story, I wouldn't want to be with a girl who would change boyfriends so impulsively.

I don't know. May her boyfriend of many years wasn't meeting her needs. I don't feel like theres enough details to judge in this situation. Maybe it isn't because the new guy was rich or a prep (whatever that means) but maybe they had more things in common or a shared drive. I wouldn't fault some other girl for dumping her boyfriend without knowing everything.

My thoughts too. We don't know anything about her, other than she got out of a long term relationship (as many do, it isn't uncommon) and started going out with someone else who happened to be rich (or at least has rich parents). Was it a coincidence he was rich? Who knows... it probably had something to do with it. If she dumped him purely because the other guy had more money, of course I wouldn't go out with her, when the money runs out she'll leave me for someone else. But only she knows why, there could be a lot we don't know.

Well it's certainly more enticing isn't it?

Not saying it was the sole reason she went out with him, but I'm sure if he's driving around in a Ferrari then she's going to like him a little bit more.... even if it's 0.000001% more, it's still more!

What Fremdin said. We don't know what her old relationship was like or why she likes the new guy. Although it's possible that money has something to do with it, I wouldn't assume as much.
