around 6 weeks pregnant, and didnt' stop until I was 4ish months pregnant. And I'd vomit over 20 times a day, every day. I took sleeping pills at night just so I'd stop vomiting. That is, if I didn't vomit the sleeping pill up. I lost 10 lbs (I didn't have anything to lose!) and I became very, very dehydrated. I had migraines and dizzyness. It was AWFUL. I'm not sure I could ever actually TTC or PLAN for a baby knowing I'll have to suffer through 4 months of dehydrating morning sickness again.

Every pregnancy is going to be different. It doesn't mean you'll have severe morning sickness for another.

started coming on slowly at the 5th week mark and by the start of 6th week (around Thursday night) it's been pretty icky. i have not thrown up though and so i am grateful for that. i'm eating very often, wearing sea bands and eating/drinking ginger and lemonade.

Oh my! I realize now how easy I got it!
My morning sickness started around 6 weeks pregnant, and was bad for about 2 weeks.
I still had aversions, and had to be quick brushing my teeth (ugh I hated that!) but I wouldn't say it was that bad.

I remember telling people it was like playing Russian roulette with food! You knew you had to eat something, and that if you ate the right thing, you'd feel better, but if you ate the wrong thing, it'd make you horribly sick, but you didn't know if you chose correctly until the food was in your mouth! :p

However, all that being said, there's lots you can do for nausea, certain pills or pressure point bracelets, homeopathy, ginger, eating while still in bed, the old standby Saltines.
You can do it!
I was able to get through mine without medication, but I did eat a heck of a lot of crackers!! :D

Peace,
- Niffer

With the first two (both girls) I never had m/s, cravings, anything. I could eat anything and everything -- and I certainly DID!

This time around (I'm 10.5 weeks now), I have been sick since week 3! I've not actually thrown up (I have a deal with that -- I can't stop once I start even after throwing up blood), but I have lead in my stomach all day and all night.

I keep trying to prep my new spouse about how miserable I am during pregnancy and that he'll need to be patient. I describe it as having the flu all day long.. including nausea, fatigue without a fever.. and still expected to go to work and operate like a normal person. It's miserable.

There were a few things that made me gag very early on before the test was positive, but I don't know if that was really morning sickness because I have that as a pre-period symptom almost every month. My friends, however, said it was more noticeable this month and they all had guessed I was pregnant before I knew I was. I have had a few instances of dry heaves in the last week (I am 4 1/2 weeks - 5 weeks), but no actual throwing up. So... I'm not sure if I have officially started with that symptom or not

I had that same "is this morning sickness or not?" feeling going on for the first couple of weeks. Then, one afternoon at about 6 weeks, I felt a little bit sick, and suddenly I was throwing up. There was no question then that it had started, lol.
