it's the same thing, and you get it by faith not choosing to follow xP
cause lots of people choose to follow christ, doesnt mean they have the spirit

I know I have the Spirit because I was baptized.

For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to Himself.'" - Acts 2:38-39
I have the Spirit because everyone who is baptized has the Holy Spirit, according to the word and promise of God.

When one receives God in their lives, He resides in them. The Holy Spirit resides in you one you have accept Jesus and let Him into your heart.
That's the great thing about Christianity - you don't need to pass tests, you just need to have faith and allow Jesus in when he knocks.

A relationship with the Lord is a personal thing . It can only be proved by Spirit in another .

Consider these scriptures.
1 John 4:13-15
13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
KJV
That is why one needs to do this in order to be born again(saved).
Rom 10:9-10
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

hmm .. proving the holy spirit indwells .. LOL .. yeah . bible passages cannot do that .
well just look for the fruit of the spirit in us . if you see it . then yay . and if not . then nay . but keep in mind he's working on all of us . and you don't have to "feel the spirit"

I am confused or i am missing something.. people in the new testaments knew when they got the spirit didn't they? Is this not the case anymore IYOs?
