Introductory Thread For Newbies & Lurkers

Well im new just signed up tonight, there i was browsing the forums reading the same rubbish i read the night before thinking to myself this is sooooooo boring plus all they do is argue about politics or each other! I gotta stop reading this rubbish! lol.

I knew about this site a while back so now I'm here! I move around a lot but will pop in from time to time.

I am a stay home dad, have been doing it for the last 5yrs, which has been great. I am also the coordinator here in Australia for Climbing For Christ.

My interests are reading books of human endurance, don't really read non fiction. Bushwalking, camping, spending time with God in the outdoors.

I had a friend who used to go to mayfield baptist in newcastle. Semed pretty good when I visited once so you might like to try that. Don't know if it has changed as it has been awhile since my friend moved from newcastle.

Christian Denomination: Raised as a Baptist, early high school was Pentecostal, uni was Anglican, post-uni was AOG, then back to Baptist, and currently, a Church of Christ. But after all my work with Scripture Union, Black Stump and others, I'm pretty much transdenominational.

Church attendance: When God makes me go. Like a child, I complain and ask why, like a parent, He says, "Because I told you to."

Political Views: Imperialist. Perhaps a cross between the Roman and Galactic Empires. But I don't like the Greens.
