Forum open to atheists and theists where we can actually debate?

This room only allows for one atheist per topic, which is extremely frustrating when reading some fundamentally incorrect responses.

Anyone know if there is a room on this forum where free debate is welcomed and where more than one athiest per topic is acceptable???

Gee whiz, I would love debate... but someone actually asks to ask a hard question for that to happen... heh...

This is just posturing, imo...

"Fundamentally incorrect"? Don't you think it's a little arrogant of you to tell us that you know our religion better than we do, many of us who have studied the scriptures since before you were even born?

There was one, but it was closed because the atheists couldn't make intelligent arguments, only personal attacks.

Never said I'm here to correct anybody on Christian doctrine, rather to answer to the misconceptions about atheism that I have been reading.

It's a shame to hear that you have had some unpleasant atheists coming in and attacking members here personally. That's the opposite of my intention here, as you'll see in my other posts.

Are you as an atheist exploring Christianity? If not, there is no need for you to be posting under this subforum... You can go to Non-Christian Religion to word your opinions, however, you can not debate there.

Is it not frustrating when some militant sounding atheists claim things about Christianity (like say Infallible-ness of the Bishop of Rome) that are fundamentally incorrect? What is the logical equivalent for "judge not lest ye be judged yourself"?

My question is:

You knew this was a Christian forum when you joined. As such, debating, mocking, and other such actions are not allowed of Orthodox Christian views.

Since this is a Christian forum, why did you choose to come here to debate anyway?

The EC area is a place where Non-Christians can come and ask legitimate questions about what we (Christians) believe.

Exploring Christianity Forum
This is a forum where non-Christians are encouraged to ask questions about those aspects of the Christian faith which seem hard to understand or accept, and where Christians can enter into discussion with them on these questions.

We recognize that real seekers are looking for real answers, and the first reply given may be insufficient to achieve this. It is acceptable for the Original Poster (OP) to probe the answers given, and to continue the discussion on lines which help to clarify their understanding of the Christian faith.
If another non-Christian seeker wishes to ask questions about the Christian faith, they may start their own thread. No more than one non-Christian (the OP) may post in a thread.

Link to this rule.

In the 4 years I have been here, it has been my experience that Atheists, Agnostics, and others, are here for no other reason than to mock or attack what we believe. And that was one of the primary resons why the General Apologetics area was closed.

I suggest you try the Non-Christian Religions area.

God Bless

Till all are one.
