It's a good sign that the number of unifiers has increased, isn't it?
Don't worry about them, dlamberth. They're not interested in change for the better, just on maintaining the same sort of power base with the same sort of politics, and if it means tearing good people down to achieve that goal, so be it.

Well, Obama has finally said something that, IMO, makes me question whether or not he's the candidate I thought he was.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080328/ap_on_el_pr/democrats_party_unity

At a rally here Thursday, Clinton was asked what she would say to Democrats so invested in her candidacy or Obama's that they would consider voting for McCain in the general election if their preferred candidate isn't the nominee.

"Please think through this decision. It is not a wise decision," Clinton said to applause.

"There are going to be some bruised feelings, whoever the nominee is. We are going to have to come together and remind ourselves that there is a heck of a lot bigger difference between either Senator Clinton or myself, and John McCain," Obama said.

I'm sorry, but that's a bunch of bull. If Clinton is as bad of a choice as Obama is making her out to be, or if Obama is as bad of a choice as Clinton is making him out to be ... then why should I vote in November for the one that right now they are telling me is a horrible choice?

I mean, if Obama wins the nomination does he suddenly "pass the C-in-C threshold" and gain experience he didn't have etc...? If Clinton wins the nomination does she suddenly retroactively become anti-NAFTA, really have dodged sniper bullets, become transparent in her dealings and not ruthless for power for power's sake?

I may not vote McCain if Clinton wins, but I'd much rather vote for Brain P. Moore than her because I'm more interested in the issues that matter to me being represented than I am the little R or D tag after someone's name.

If Obama can't, in November, stand by the criticisms he makes of Clinton now (and vice versa) then it's all just an ego-trip game to them. I've been led to think Obama stood for something different, I hope he's not just going to be more of the same wrapped up with pretty bows.

But he has never made the assertion that Mccain is betterr,

This is true :D Of course, that's why I mention Brian Moore as someone I would feel fairly comfortable voting for.

But i've been utterly convinced that Hillary Clinton (who I supported at the outset, before I learned more about Obama) would be a terrible choice as President. Why should I vote for her in November solely because she has the word 'Democrat' next to her name on the ballot? Why would I show 'party loyalty' to someone who has shown that their concept of 'party loyalty' is loyalty only to themselves? Why even show 'party loyalty', particularly if the party's candidate is someone I do not want to see as President?

I just don't like Obama (or Clinton) saying that when it's all sorted out that we should forget all the bad things they said about the eventual nominee and just go ahead and vote for them anyway out of 'loyalty' to a stinking party. If they're going to say the person is so great in a few months, then they need to shut their gobs about how bad they are now.

? Why would I show 'party loyalty' to someone who has shown that their concept of 'party loyalty' is loyalty only to themselves?
This is exactly how I felt concerning McCain. The parties are asking us to be more loyal to them than the candidates they have put forth.

So if I called Obama a typical black man, you would understand that I was not being racist in my remarks?

NOTICE WHAT I HAD TO EDIT EVEN HERE ON THIS SITE THAT IS DISCRIMINITORY

I am editing this because I was asked to.Everyone should pay close attention to this post if they are pating attention to this election

Someone finally said it.

How many are actually paying attention to this?

There are African Americans,

Mexican Americans,

Asian Americans,

Arab Americans,

Native Americans, etc.

...And then there are just -

Americans..

You pass me on the street

You Call me 'White boy,'

...And that's OK.

But when I call you

You say that whites commit a lot

You have the UnitedNegroCollege Fund.

You have Hispanic History Month.

You have Martin Luther King Day.

You have Asian History Month.

You have Black History Month.

You have Cesar Chavez Day.

You have Ma'uled Al-Nabi.

You have Yom Hashoah.

You have Kawanza.

You have the NAACP.

And you have BET.

If we had WET

If we had a White Pride Day

If we had White History Month

If we had any organization for only whites

Wonder who pays for that?

If we had a college fund that only gave

There are over 60 openly-proclaimed

yet if there were 'White-only Colleges'

...THAT would be a racist college.

In the Million-Man March,

you believed that you were

If we marched for our race and rights,

You are proud to be black,

brown, yellow and red,

But when we announce our white pride

...You call us racists.

You rob us,

But, when a white police officer

shoots a black gang member

or beats up a black drug-dealer

who is running from the LAW and

posing a threat to ALL of society

...You call him a racist.

Why is it that only

whites

can be racists?

Good thing i saw Scribbler's name cause when the thread came up it looked like i got hijacked onto Stormfront. There seems to be a lot of miscommunication on the word 'racism.' It has more than one application and the biggest fallacy thus far is the presupposition of an even playing field.

The facts in post 956 are impossible to refute.

I am repulsed by Stormfront I have went to that site.

I see most of the posts on Stormfront Obamas views in reverse.

Its funny how so few have the courage to talk about these facts.

To speak out against racism is racism. To ignore the difference in race completely is the only way to eventually irradicate the negative effects of racism.

So when someone running for President is a racist like Obama the facts in posts like # 956 are forced to the forefront of discussion to keep things fair.:sigh: :(

Enlighten us, I'm guessing it doesn't have anything to do with the low income...
You have Martin Luther King Day.
We all have Martin Luther King day. Or don't you think MLK did anything worthwhile? Is equality not worth celebrating?
You rob us,

carjack us,

and shoot at us.
Who does this? All non-whites?? And no whites do it too right?

Dude, I agree that some of the things you brought up aren't right. I'm not a fan of segregation in any for or positive discrimination. But you seem to be addressing this to all non-whites like they all agree with it and have the same attitude. That's pre-judging without experience based on race (i.e. racism).

When I look at my race...white...I see a lot that we did to other races that I'm not at all proud of. One place my race has controlled are the Governments on the North American Contenant that have existed since even before America’s inception. My race, the race in control all of these years, clearly has not lived up to the demands of Jesus, that being Love and Compassion and helping those in need. Yet many like call ourselves a “Christian Nation”. My race, the European Race, had a chance to change things for the better by helping the poor in desperate parts of the world and by finding ways to make peace in the world. But what I see what we have done these past 200+ years does not make me proud. Has my race failed humanity? I don't know, I don't like to think so, but when I look around at opportunities lost I sometimes have to wonder.

The intraspection over race that has come up thanks to Obama is good for this nation to have.
