I also wear a hat or scarf with my parents, because the parish we go to is the parish they grew up in and it is very tight knit. If I wear a veil and someone questions that they aren't going to go to me they are going to be bugging my parents about it. I don't think it's fair to do that to them.

WarriorAngel,

That is very disturbing... There are studies out there that proclaim that the anti-Christ will be Islamic and if you do your research on the Islamic bible it makes sense as their end times stuff, is radically similar to ours... in a bad way. Mohammed will return with Jesus and kill all the Jews.... now lets think about this with our prophecy about the anti Christ and his 2nd in command.... very similar.

I can feel in my heart and spiritually, that persecution will soon rise, it's already slowing rising, but I believe there will be a spike of persecution and from there it will get worse. My friend and I both have had dreams about it.

Did you ever consider that the ills our country is experiencing -be it a war, drug epidemic, or whatever, may be the result of our national policy allowing the destruction of the baby within the womb, which is a indicator of the collective state of our souls?

I'm more worried about WorldNetDaily than about the democratic party, to be perfectly honest...

I could have seen this one coming a mile off. Never attack the substance of the article, always attack the source. First, you need to prove that the article is false, which of course, you can't.

? I was saying the the war in Iraq and abortion are much more important things to be dealing with instead of passing resolutions that are literally meaningless. Are you disagreeing with that?

If a source has a history of not being credible, one can't expect people to take what they say based on faith. In this case, what appears to have been the crux of the story, which is to say that a vote on this issue was taken and a handful of people voted against the resolution, was correct, but there have been other instances where WND has been wrong and distorted the truth beyond all recognition. I personally was hesitant to believe it until I saw other links to more credible sources and then, when I read them, I commented on the thread. I no longer even click on links to WND, and didn't read this story there, because they have a tendency to post exaggerated or false stories, and have very low journalistic standards. Even just here on the forum, I've seen a lot of threads started with links to WND, and then later when people checked with more credible sources, it turned out that WND twisted the truth so badly that it was nearly unrecognizable.

what is worlddailynet?

A website with a very conservative Republican slant that tends to report the news in a very biased, sensationalistic, and frequently factually inaccurate, way.

:scratch:Hey fish I'M A conservative. Does that make me a nutjob?!
Conservatives get a bad rap from those who go to the extreme. You're only a nut job if you spend hours on World Nut Daily trying to find further evidence that the end of the world is nigh. (as if this isn't common knoweldge already)

We can prevent the end of the world if we just drive battery powered cars.

I remember back when abortion was illegal and war wasn't invented yet. Those were the days.

Have you ever considered that maybe God likes abortion so much that He's rewarded us for legalizing it by giving us the internet to play with? It's about as deffensible a position.

I wish that both parties would stop passing "resolutions" that are only symbolic in nature and get to work solving the real problems America faces.

Is Congress concerned about persecution of Christians?

Do they know that many of Iraq's 700,000 Christians are now living in refugee camps in Syria and Lebanon because of religious persecution by the Shiites, and that we have only accepted 700 of these refugees into the US?

Let them do something about that, and I will heartily condemn any representative, Democrat or Republican, who votes against it.
