Salutations!

I may look it, but I'm actually not new here. I was here under the name "Cassandra" a while back. I lost my password though, both to the forums and the e-mail account I used was deleted XP

But I worry not!

It's good to be back ^~

Hi! So is this the place where we chat about whatever we want?

What's the weather like where you live? Here in Texas we've had a cold snap -- I've actually had to retire my sandals for the time being!
You wear sandals in the fall? I'm surprised that we haven't had snow yet (I'm in Michigan). Though it isn't that bad today, it might break 50. Plus, the sun is nice.

LOL! We can frequently wear sandals and shorts into November (not non-stop or anything, but here and there).

I'm just going to assume that all southerners are wrong.:p

But seriously, I don't think I could stand warm weather year round. I like variety and change. Plus, it's always nice to realize that even if you don't like it today, it could be radically different in a few weeks and will be in a few months. 3 Months ago it was approaching 100 degrees and humid, and in another 3 months odds are good the entire state will be covered with a white powder.

LOL! Of course we are!! We're also crazy ;)

And it isn't warm year round -- we get a little winter. Spring is fantastic. And the weather is anything but predictable. One year, in March, it was hot and we were in shorts one weekend, the next weekend it snowed. Texas can be freaky.

I didn't realize Michigan got that hot!?

I like the SF Bay area of CA. Except when a major winter storm blows through, if I don't like the weather I can drive 20 minutes in any direction and find different weather.

During winter storms, I might have drive an hour or two to hit different weather.

It's rare, but it does happen (mostly at the end of July and beginning of August). We have a pretty extreme range, It's been 20 below or more sometimes in the winter. I blame most of it on Lake Michigan, it does crazy stuff to the weather.
