The name of this forum is what attracted me here a year and a half ago. Now the change in name will be sending me seeking another forum.

I need a place to grow and this is not it.

The Name is part of what why I chose this forum as well...:sigh: :sigh: :sigh:

Would telling them they have a false God and a false Christ be considered an insult?

I see that as a main reason for the change. When Christians continually tell other Christians they are not "true Christian" the initial dream of uniting all Christians becomes apparent as being unattainable.

Hey all Cindy here.. I am now wondering if I belong on this site anymore :( .... Since it is no longer called "Christian Forums", this really breaks my heart. Seems that Erwin has jumped on the "World's" bandwagon and taken God and Christianity out of something that was intended to be Godly. What's next... ???? No more saying things like "Merry Christmas" or "God Bless You" like they have been banning in the work places? Wow, I am SO disappointed!!!!!!

You sure it's this thread A2J? I just checked the first 20 posts and i'm totally missing it somehow. Got a link handy by any chance? Cause i'll gladly tell that person to show a little more courtesy ... in fact, I just said it.
poster#27 said:
hahahah Erwin, You're a sell out. Rock on. Christianity is for noobs

I was in error bout which post, it was 27 I was talkin bout, an I may be in error bout the beliefs of the poster, it could be sarcastic an I missed it the first time.

http://foru.ms/showpost.php?p=37830473&postcount=26

Actually... this site loaded slowly when I typed ^ that, but when I went to git the links I seen the "faith" icon of the poster an it is an athesits.

Thanks P_G for posting the links to other forums. It really sucks that we need a new place to go. This site was great, I recomended it to everyone.

I never felt that this site really stuck to Biblical principles. Many blasphemous things were allowed, but for the most part, it was a good Christian place. And I thought it was great that it wasnt totally exclusive, athiests, people with other beliefs were here. It made for some good discussions and great learning experiences.

I am so sorry to see that this has all changed.

So I wonder how many of us will be leaving now?

I want to commend Erwin for this change. Why? Because it is a needed step in accurately packaging what this site has become and is becoming. With this packaging new Christians and naive Christians will not think they are on a safe site spiritually. That is good given the changes of 7-7-7.

I do not commend the 7-7-7 changes. I believe that was when this site abandoned a biblical core (The Nicene Creed and a trinitarian concept of God as well as some foundational biblical standards of conduct) in favor of a WIKI-driven post modern mindset and authority structure.

Given THAT change (7-7-7) the change today only makes sense. I lays to rest Christian Forums (which had been deceased and was only awaiting a decent burial) and accurately describes what Erwin has decided this site is and will be.

Thus today is a step into accurate presentation. The new label is not the issue, the reforms of 7-7-7 are the issue.

I will likely do some apologetics here if the WIKI rules will allow any biblical truth to be presented. I will not view this as a fellowship site, even in the congregational bunkers.

I would ask Erwin to consider removing pre-teens from the site (Actually I suggest 16 or 18 as a minimum age). This place will get darker and I would not want to encourage young people to socially network here.

WIKI-on, Garth.

As StarJewel mentioned, it would be meaningless and counterproductive to any beneficial dialogue. The same could be said to you with about as much impact; where does that lead? To hostility and shutting off from one another instead of sharing and learning from one another. And anyone who has the axiomatic assumption that their view could not possibly ever be incorrect or in need of revision at some point has already lost the bloody plot to begin with and isn't worth conversing with in the first place, IMO.

Well, I will tell you what is really irking me right now and that is the fact that Erwin was arranging all of this weeks ago. So, while we were all here like dummies debating on which direction this site should take, Erwin had already decided.

Without a defined "Christian section", where Christians are protected from the outside onslaught of skeptic and liberal attacks on the faith, and our worldview, it's Open Season on us.
The Hunters just got their hunting licenses.

I'll hang out awhile & then bail if it gets where my whole time here is defending Christianity and why I am one.
People have been saying that ever since the changes started. How many non-christians have you seen in the christian area? I have yet to post there. I have yet to even read there. I have no intention of doing either. I never leave the debate section.

What a shock. The way old Mods operated the pre-teens were at a bigger risk back then.

Sigh..
Moriah, I base my beliefs and faith upon the Words of Jesus Christ.. that no man will enter into the Kingdom of God except through accepting Him. All others will indeed go to hell.
Yes, there are many "good" Christians that will not make it, but that's another discussion, and not one I'm up to debate here. ;)
I also believe that Jesus Christ is the only means by which anyone may enter the Kingdom of God. We have no quarrel here.

Do you understand the meaning of "
World" in scripture?

In this world, I have learned that by doing of the will of God leaves me no time for disputing about His providence plans and why things are happening around us. The world who are without Christ also have their own views. More often than not, the secular world view is in conflict with the bible. To Christians, this should NOT be a surprise. To the world who are without Christ, this conflict is not a surprise either. I do have some concerns with some who are "professed Christians" in this world. What does it mean to become like Jesus Christ? That is the REAL question. We have brought controversies and worldliness have brought in the darkness that people cannot see the light. 1st John 2:16 says: "All that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, the pride of life, is not of the Father." Our faith is in God, not in faith. In our relations with the world we seek to bring the truth of Christ to bear upon every issue facing our culture (Mt. 5:13-16). In our relations with one another, we seek to build friendships that make a difference (John 13:34).
