My poor daughter...what should we do???

My daughter has been signed up to do a church internship for several years. This year is the year. It means she goes from school at 1:30 straight to church and works til 5:30. It has been going on for about 3 weeks now. So far there has been no one at church sometimes, sometimes they are at Wal_Mart, sometimes they forget she is coming, sometimes they will be there is l/2 hours, which ends of being 1 1 /2 hours, and today when she got there there was a note taped to the door saying they would be there in an hour.

We live about 17 miles from church.

We are completely shocked and very depressed. She is so dynamic and ready to dive into whatever they want her to do.

This is amazing treatment of an enthusiastic and loving warrior for Christ.

I don't even know what to pray.

She just called me. She is majorly sad and depressed. They have our home phone and cell phone too, and never call.

This is too much to absorb.

We are under such major attack I can't even describe it.

Every one of our family...

Bob, Drew, Darci, and me. Every area of our life looks like it is falling apart, in some way or another.

I don't even know what to say.

? HELP, LORD. ? We live about 17 miles from church and she is "working" for free...

Is there someone at church she could talk to? A supervisor, maybe? If they told her they needed her help, they shouldn't be leaving her alone like that. She should definitely confront someone about this. Ummm, I meant confront nicely, of course. :)

Your daughter, or anyone else in your family doesn't need to stand for this kind of crud. Who ever these people are, I can tell you, they are not of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Gods people are filled with His Spirit and not their own, and do as God tells them, not what they want to do. If they were doing what God commands them to, they wouldn't be more interested in themselves then the are of your daughter.

I would suggest you kick the dust from your shoes, seek God, He will lead you else where.

This is heartbreaking to hear. How sad it is to hear of your daughter who is on fire for the Lord and wanting sooo badly to serve Him. Please find comfort in knowing that God searches our heart, He sees what she is being put through for His sake. He will indeed bless her so lift her up in your prayers. Even when you do not know what to pray for, His Word tells us the Holy Spirit will be an inteccesor for her. She has to keep strong in her faith which is not always easy to do. It doesn't surprise me that your entire family is under attack. I have seen this in my own. I have learned that whenever I sincerely pray that I want to do something to honor God, satan is right there more than willing to help me screw up. If he can't get to me he goes after my family. This is what is happening to you and your family. I do suggest that you talk to your daughter and encourage her to talk to her group. She can not allow the group to become a stumbling block for her. Sounds like the group needs a real eye-opener in the way their behavior and lack of interest is affecting this young christian sister. Please encourage her to seek God and His wisdom. He will put the right words in her mouth to say what she needs to say. God is in control and He can use your daughter in some very mighty ways. Come back and let us know how all works out.

Since she goes each day, this morning, when she left, I said, call church at 1:30 when you leave Honey, and if they are not there, come home and call again at 2:30, etc...

She is totally on fire and has been since 7th grade. She is a senior. This is not a passing fancy.

So a phone call is our first line of defense, so to speak. But the saddest thing of all is that her youth pastor of one year is so laid back you almost cant tell if he is "awake". To be explicit, her youth group of 150 or so used to be dynamic every week....extremely spiritual and vibrant. Kids came from miles away to seek Jesus...very awesome.

Now they do things like this, which is just beyond belief... A child may give a wonderful 10 minute sermon, and then they immediately have a blip of Rin and 'Stimpy come up full blast. I have been there and just can't stand it. Every kid laughs and it breaks the mood entirely. This is one small example of the relaxed whatever attitude.

We stuck it out with our church after the old youth pastor went to plant churches in CA, not wanting to run away, even tho we had an insightful intuition about the new pastor. We went and talked to the head pastor and asked if the spirituality would continue (at his encouragement) and he said yes, nothing to worry about.

But everything has been spiraling down...last week the head pastor had a long long video of himself being locked in the bathroom pounding on the door, wanting out, while his son (8 and another boy) pretended to be taking over his office. The video went on and on and on. I don't even know what the reason for the video was. Something about the kids taking over the church.

Well...anyways things don't look too good anymore...the spirituality is gone. It is our daughter's senior year....not exactly a good time to change...

Thanks to all.

Seems they already have. I left one Church because the "kids" took over and another because the Masons took over. Light has no fellowshop with darkness. May be it's time to look for the Light, and go fellowship there.
