The crime of suicide is completed at the moment of death. Thus, by definition, it is impossible to repent of suicide. A person will meet God not having repented of this sin.

I am definitely not trying to turn this into debate...but I am not about to sit here and let someone tell you this. If your brother had faith in Christ, it will be reckoned as righteousness to Him. The matter of Him being baptized is of no importance, because it is a work, and we are saved apart from works of the law, as Abraham was saved because of his faith. On the other hand, works are an evidence of salvation, therefore his baptism could be looked at as a proof. His symbolic baptism is not the determining point though, it is whether He was baptized with the Holy Spirit. Just as the scriptures and others have said, there is no way to know the heart of any man. Only God can judge.

You can:

1. Still have hope.

2. Learn from his mistake. Although we all long to depart from the body and be present with the Lord, we have duties to fulfill here as representatives of Christ. Endure this lifetime as an obedience to God, as well as with obedience to God.

But Christ said, "Except ye repent, ye shall all like wise perish" (Luke 13:3).

This verse is being spoken to men still under the Mosaic covenant, so be careful who you are applying it to. Also, in its context, it is not speaking of repenting of every sin individually, but instead that I am sinful as a person and I need to repent. In no way does this spell out that every sin is atoned for with an individual repenting of each sin.

Well, there are sins that leads to the death and others more light.

All sin leads to death.

Romans 6:23-for the wages of sin is death...

All sin is equal in the eyes of God.

If one sin under Mosaic law made you unclean and required the need for a sacrifice for atonement, then one sin under the new covenant is the same. And since Christ's blood atoned for all sin, then the sin of suicide would still be atoned for if you were saved.

I've said it before in here...I am not going to kill myself. (Just to make that clear) :)

I know...but I hope the only lesson you have learned was not that you just shouldn't commit suicide. Now that you have been through this situation, you have a deeper understanding of it than anyone else, and have been equipped with an experience that allows you to communicate with other believers. Learn from this, and use it in others lives.
