Last night I cried out for Christ-
I felt so alone, and I couldn't even call myself Christian-
sometimes I don't think I should be one, the way I am sometimes.
:(

However, today I had a discussion with Christ when I was at work, explaining to him, my love is dead for him, I feel destined to Hell, I am having trouble repenting without a care. I feel like Atheism is the best answer, but I know God exists so I won't turn to it, and I guess I trying learning to having a relationship, than a religion.
:idea:

So at work today, I work at a Pharmacy, I rang up a gentleman, after I gave him his receipt, he said,
"Today you will get something free."
I looked at him strangely, and he gave me a book-
The Book of Hope-
it's about discovering the joy, peace, power of prayer, and the promise of Eternal Life, and the love of Jesus.
The man smiled and gave me the book, and walked away. I looked at it, and realised the Lord heard me.
Even with so much sin on my soul, and how I've been neglecting his Son, being who I want to be for him,
he still answered me, he still showed me he loves me.
He wants me to be his child.
He not giving up on me.
To that-
I thank my Heavenly Father-
and he showed me...
This will lead me to his Son.
:bow:

Please learn that this happened just an hour ago.
And take this message, that the Lord hears us,
even if we don't think he does.

With Love,

Rubies.
:)

When we feel like giving up (and let's face it, we live in a world that gives up on faith every time it doesn't go our way), God goes out of His way to prove Who He is and that He cares tenderly.

You walk the prayers of those who came before you and those around you.

Ps 84:5-7 Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who have set their hearts on pilgrimage. As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with pools. They go from strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion.

Between the two strengths is usually a whole lot of weakness, doubt, fear and trial. You're doing great, and God is faithful.

Hi Rubies ,

I'm glad for your edifying and encouraging experience !

What stands out , is that even though you were faltering and consequently feeling rather dismal , you still cried out unto The Lord , with your cares , concerns , and troubles ; and that is why you were heard . For even if our faith isn't strong enought to prevail under current circumstances , we still know Who to call on , i.e. Jesus ! And He makes The Difference !

And now , you've become more stable and settled in the faith , as a result !

Moreover the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah the second time, while he was yet shut up in the court of the prison, saying,
Thus saith the LORD the maker thereof, the LORD that formed it, to establish it; the LORD is his name;
Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
<-----> Jeremiah 33:1-3

Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:
And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.
<-----> Psalm 50:14+15

For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. <-----> Psalm 86:5

O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. <-----> Psalm 105:1

Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live. <-----> Psalm 116:2

I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD. <-----> Psalm 116:13

I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD. <-----> Psalm 116:17

The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. <-----> Psalm 145:18

For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. <-----> Romans 10:12

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. <-----> Romans 10:13

May The Lord Be Magnified !

Thank you so much for sharing your amazing story. Things like that have happened to me a few times also. In fact, just last week I was ready to give up and was telling God how I felt that I had given my best effort but could not go on with the suffering I was feeling from a certain person that I have suffered with for a few years. I told God that I was so sorry but I truly felt that I didn't have what it takes to be a christian. I started to cry as I confessed this in my heart. That VERY DAY something happened - the person I had animosity towards told me a story about something he had done in his past. It was something so good and merciful and un-selfish that it COMPLETELY changed my view of this person. His story was in response to something very very strange that happened to me in a parking lot about an hour earlier that I told him about. Now I am completely at peace with this person. I fact, by the end of that day I was conversing with him as though we'd been friends!

Glory be to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit!
