There are basicly three to four generations in most families today that are seeing the birth pang signs , but which of these is the generation that Jesus spoke of when he said "this generation will not pass until all these things be fulfilled".

And the signs that i'm taking about are not just the birth pang signs that Jesus spoke of , but any and all signs spoken of through out scripture related to this last generation , for example:

2Ti 3:2 -But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,

I used to think it might be my generation but now i'm not so sure , because the generation that followed mine appears to be far worse than mine...lol

Any idea's ?

This statement is given in context with the parable of the fig tree in each of the gospel account's

Mathew 24v32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

So "This generation" ( generation that shall not pass) is in referance to "the tender branch" (israel) parable . Thus the picture is given of the rebirth of israel denoting the beginning of the generation that Shall not pass. That took place in may 1948 or the baby boomer generation as a result of the birth pains (holicaust).

Um, no.

This generation was that generation at the time of Christ that would be alive in 70AD when the Temple was destroyed, the priesthood slaughtered, and the city of Jerusalem beseiged and cut off from all supply chains, so the people were forced into cannibalism.

Christians remembered Jesus warnings, understood the signs, and when they say the army approaching off in the distance, did as Jesus instructed, rapidly left.

Context is everything.

The context is in relation to the parable in each account. While i agree that the events of 70ad completed parts of the prophacy involved it did not fullfil all prophacy given by christ in this statement, as christ has not returned yet (mathew 24v34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. ) All things did not happen in 70 AD thus it remains to be fullfilled!!

The generation of WWIII

For nation shall rise against nation
kindgom against kingdom
beginning of sorrows

We are now in it!
The time of sorrow vision that Daniel saw in chapter 10 and explains in chapter 11 at verse 14.

The fenced cities of Israel will be taken by Iraq~see verses v15-19 as to the king of the north.
Definatly the beggining of sorrows
Sound familiar, watch world news !!!
luke21v9 But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.
10 Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:
11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

Here is another thing to consider:

"...and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled." -Luke 21:24

It is agreed that anyone who is not a Jew is a Gentile. Am I right? Therefore, the one place holy to the Jews is still being trodden down of the Gentiles, the Dome of the Rock. Some say that this place is Mt. Moriah, where Abraham offered up Isaac. Some say this is the place where the Ark of the Covenant sat. Whichever is right, the Jews regard this place as holy. The Muslems still control this holy place. Today the Dome is mainly perceived in the Islamic world as the commemoration of the marvelous story of the night journey of the Prophet Muhammad (al-Isra') and his ascension to the sky (al-mi`raj). It is believed that one night, while Muhammad was sleeping near the Ka'ba in Mecca, he was taken by the Angel Gabriel on a legendary steed named al-Burak to al-Masjid al-Aqsa (the farthest mosque) in Jerusalem. From the rock Muhammad ascended to the sky where he met all the prophets who had preceded him (such as Moses, Josef and Christ), witnessed paradise and hell and finally saw God sitting on his throne circumambulated by angels. That is why the Muslems hold it as holy. I believe that when they no longer control this place and all of Jerusalem is back in Jewish hands, that is the generation that will see all things fulfilled.

It certainley looks that way, although if the jews want (or Israel ) to be a part of the kingdom that is god , then they must believe the prophets foretold the person of the Lord Jesus Christ as the fullilment of the cornerstone of all things new in GOD. Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of god, but at the ressurection , all those in the spirit of christ Jesus, will be saved...... In which Paul a full blooded Israelite, was saved by the spreading of the gospel to the ends of the earth--- where the Israelites so happened to be....so all Israel will be saved..

I agree. We are beginning to see the final events on the horizon. So far, there has not been a Third Temple, 2nd Coming, etc. Those things spoken of in Matt 24 are clearly events of our generation, the one that sees Israel reborn. There is no way they could have been talking about the things back in 70AD. JMHO.
