  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Can a backslider return to God?

I'm still really struggling with this area. It's very much affecting my walk with the Lord. Especially when I pray or read anything biblically based. The fear of being lost and being damned is something I really struggle with. It's just so hard for me to get past those verses in Hebrews looking...

Can a backslider return to God?

I know there are two primary ways of interpreting these verses in Hebrews. One way is to say that the verses are not talking about Christians. The other is to say that it is talking about Christians that backsled. The first interpretation saying that it's not talking about Christians says that...

Can a backslider return to God?

That is definitely one of the areas of scripture that is quoted to say that a person can come back to God if they backslide. The verses in Hebrews seems to start from the moment of Christs crucifixion and the parable of the prodigal son was told by Jesus before his crucifixion. So I have to...

Can a backslider return to God?

I became a Christian when I was 13 years old but I backslid from the time that I was 15 until I was 18. At that point I came back to the Lord and rededicated my life to Christ. Over the years I've really struggled with certain passages in the book of Hebrews which seems to say that a person...

Trying to find a Christian wife

The bible tells us not to be unequally yoked. So the woman I marry has to be a Christian. I want her to take her faith in God seriously. But God does not want us to be a stiff with no sense of humor. So I don't want a woman like that either. I just hope I can find the right woman before I'm 80...

Trying to find a Christian wife

God did say its not good for man to be alone as well. I want to find a wife, but, I don't want kids. Yeah, when it comes to women I'm a shy rocker lol! And hey, my mom thinks I'm funny lol! But maybe she is just crazy like I am because she raised me!

Trying to find a Christian wife

I don't know if I'm posting this in the right place, but here it goes. I'm a 40 year old guy that is really trying to find the right woman for me. I'm not your typical 9 to 5 kind of guy. My passion is playing music for a living (metal) and I'm always working towards that goal to where I can...

Doing what I need to do

I know what I need to do to overcome my ocd in an area that I'm really struggling in with my ocd. The major problem that I'm having is being able to do what I know I need to do to overcome my ocd. The disorder is so strong and overwhelming mentally, physically, and emotionally that I find at...

    Still in this battle

I do pray about it all the time, I really do believe it helps. I take med's and have for years. I know that helps as well. I have been in therapy many times. Most of the time I know more then the therapist. To be honest I can't afford therapy. I really God has told me what to do to overcome...

Come of meds and need help

I never thought that it is a problem with God. The Lord really showed me a long time ago that my ocd really is a chemical imbalance. I called and talked with the people at true hope. I plan on trying their stuff.
