Sorry, but Caesar is the only sanctioned authority of our Lord, which is a hereditary title. The Pope does not have say in this matter. Even tho, I understand, he would like to.

The shape of the waxing and waning are clear evidence of the Moon's sphericity. (and that it is reflected light of the sun)

So you are on record that what anyone believes about the shape of the earth has absolutely no bearing on their salvation, correct?

What is the moon's job? To provide light at night, correct? Most of the time, it doesn't do that. Going through its phases, it puts out little light until it is nearly full. On cloudy nights, it's prevented from providing any light at all.
