Irrelevant. Teaching about history isn’t endorsing an ideology. That’s the difference.

What do you mean with endorsing an ideology? So, schools have to at least discuss LGBTQ people in the political and historical sense, and schools have an obligation to make sure they are not discriminated against because of their LGBTQ status.

If LGBTQ persons are accepted by society in general, it a good thing that students are exposed to this view regardless of the parents view. Kids are not obligated to share their parents view on all topics.

I don’t know. It’s still controversial and people may be opposed to it. Treat people right and keep social issues from an academic, neutral perspective. Don’t bully or belittle anyone.

This isn’t about dogma. It’s about protecting minors from being harmed by an extreme ideology and things they don’t understand.

As has been demonstrated, that isn't happening.

Granted, there have been a small handful of adolescents who have experience adverse outcomes, though most report favorable ones. But that only indicates that more information is needed, not less.
