What do you mean with endorsing an ideology? So, schools have to at least discuss LGBTQ people in the political and historical sense, and schools have an obligation to make sure they are not discriminated against because of their LGBTQ status.Irrelevant. Teaching about history isn’t endorsing an ideology. That’s the difference.
I don’t know. It’s still controversial and people may be opposed to it. Treat people right and keep social issues from an academic, neutral perspective. Don’t bully or belittle anyone. What do you mean with endorsing an ideology? If LGBTQ persons are accepted by society in general, it a good thing that students are exposed to this view regardless of the parents view. Kids are not obligated to share their parents view on all topics.
Opinions can be wrong sometimes, ya know. Gender isn't biology, it's identity.Wrong because I don’t accept an ideology? That’s just an opinion and nothing more.
As has been demonstrated, that isn't happening. This isn’t about dogma. It’s about protecting minors from being harmed by an extreme ideology and things they don’t understand.
Saying gender is identity is an ideology not based on science. It’s based on a theory if anything. If adults feel that way, good for them, I don’t care.Opinions can be wrong sometimes, ya know. Gender isn't biology, it's identity.

Granted, there have been a small handful of adolescents who have experience adverse outcomes, though most report favorable ones. But that only indicates that more information is needed, not less.

Scientists disagree.Saying gender is identity is an ideology not based on science.
As I have pointed out a bunch of times already, minors aren't getting that kind of surgery, so you can stop being worried about it.It’s based on a theory if anything. If adults feel that way, good for them, I don’t care.
And as I said, just leave minors alone. They aren’t mature enough.
Adults can make their own decisions.
Is that not fair?
The US discussion about this is wild, one would come to believe that it is the rule not the exception with hormonal (both puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones) and/or surgical interventions. Where I live it is mainly therapy and providing a safe environment (some would probably characterize it as affirming). Puberty blockers are not routinely prescribed.I don’t know. It’s still controversial and people may be opposed to it. Treat people right and keep social issues from an academic, neutral perspective. Don’t bully or belittle anyone.
Just my opinion to keep everyone happy.
To appease an agenda.Scientists disagree.

What Do We Mean By Sex and Gender?
As we pursue our work at Women's Health Research at Yale, it is particularly important to use language that captures the different concepts of sex and gender somedicine.yale.edu

That honestly sounds like a healthier alternative to me.The US discussion about this is wild, one would come to believe that it is the rule not the exception with hormonal (both puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones) and/or surgical interventions. Where I live it is mainly therapy and providing a safe environment (some would probably characterize it as affirming). Puberty blockers are not routinely prescribed.
Nah, it's based on evidence. As all scientific theories are.To appease an agenda.
You have every right to be sad that your opinions and facts aren't consistent. How sad.
Godspeed
Jazz Jennings (real name Jaron Bloshinsky) received sex change surgery at age 17.
This Jazz Jennings? The one going to Harvard?Actually, it has happened in minors.
Jazz Jennings (real name Jaron Bloshinsky) received sex change surgery at age 17.
Now he is experiencing a binge eating disorder, multiple meltdowns, has no sexual function or arousal, and will never experience a normal sexual relationship because he was his parents “experiment.” His fertility, puberty, and health was exchanged for fame and fortune.
Shame on his parents!
If you don't agree with using affirmative care as their therapeutic solution, what therapy should they be offered?
Of course it’s rude. If you say something that upsets people you are the one being rude regardless of your feelings.I’m not being rude. It’s simple biology. Men are not women or vice versa. The truth isn’t rude.
Actions speak louder than words.
This is why some Christians get a bad rep. They don’t seem to care about the feelings of other people and appear to go out of their way to insert themselves unsolicited into other people’s lives. The truth hurts
I guess it is meant for making gender incongruence bearable in this case? It seems a bit misplaced since there are things that can be done to allievate it.They do but I dunno why one would use them in this instance.
