That so many people find it acceptable is of recent development. There are also many people that do not find it acceptable. What "tenets?" That it's legal and that many people find it acceptable and so kids should be taught about it in school?
There is no "vernacular sense", you're making a value-judgment on a moral issue. It's not necessarily religious doctrine, though of course there's not easy separation on such matters.I meant "shouldn't" in the vernacular sense of "I don't see any good reason for it." In particular, there is no justification for a public school to teach religious doctrine about it.
Still, it exists and is legal so there is really no reason to hide it from kids. That so many people find it acceptable is of recent development. There are also many people that do not find it acceptable.
Why do young, non sexual children have the need to learn this kind of convoluted sexuality? It’s not really a matter of hiding it but a matter of not being age appropriate.Still, it exists and is legal so there is really no reason to hide it from kids.
To" sin no more" happens over time through sanctification, the process of being set apart and made holy. This is a continual work through His Holy Spirit in a believer's life. This leads us to progressive spiritual maturity and Christ-likeness.Whether or not a person is tempted to return to their lifestyle, they always have the option to repent from that lifestyle until its draw has been eliminated all together.Undoubtedly, Jesus would show compassion toward everyone. He would invite them by saying, "Come to me; I will give you eternal life." Likewise, Jesus would expect his followers to emulate this approach and extend compassion to others.
However, the question I will ask you; if someone from the LGBTQ community accepts the "living water" that Jesus offers through his mercy, will they return to their previous lifestyle? If so, can we truly say they are Christians or have received Jesus's mercy? As someone who is a sinner saved by grace, I wonder—if I revert to my old ways, am I genuinely a follower of Christ?
This question is often raised among Christians: "What would Jesus do?" The consensus is that Jesus would respond, "Come to me; I offer eternal life."
But you know what comes next ? Jesus would say “ Go and sin no more”.
In the context of the material in the OP, it includes resources for teachers who happen to be trans and how best to go about '"coming out" at work and "tips" for "transitioning at work."' For all the scare tactics, the training materials appear to be about how teachers should deal with issues professionally, not about curriculum to be taught to students. Why do young, non sexual children have the need to learn this kind of convoluted sexuality?
It's okay to be honest with school kids. There is no excuse for these kids to bully those they don't understand.Good. So it's OK to teach kids that it happens and it's not scary or dangerous and they're just going to have to deal with it.
To losing their souls or finding salvation?"Closer"? In what sense?
Could you elaborate on the exactly what the confusion caused by androgyny is?Androgyny is just another way of creating confusion,
Good point. Someone should tell the Christian Nationalist to stop acting in opposition to the words Jesus spoke. The question is, what does it mean to "love your neighbors" in this case? Indulging them at the risk of their souls, or being honest with them in the hope of their salvation?
Yeah but the tenets of any faith are not de facto moral or ethical. It is moral when it requires others to adhere to the tenets. The demonization of those that disagree with it is quite possible and most likely probable.
The tenets of Christianity are de facto moral and ethical tenets for me but I don’t push them on anyone. I would expect the LGBTQ tenets to not be pushed on me.Yeah but the tenets of any faith are not de facto moral or ethical.
Exactly what do you think that kids are taught? Shouldn't kids learn the facts about people seen as different, so they can see that they really much different. Why do young, non sexual children have the need to learn this kind of convoluted sexuality? It’s not really a matter of hiding it but a matter of not being age appropriate.
You quoted my post referring to young, non sexual kids being exposed to sexual gender dysphoria. The question really should be, why should they be exposed?Exactly what do you think that kids are taught? Shouldn't kids learn the facts about people seen as different, so they can see that they really much different.
Incorrect. Cross dressing as entertainment has been acceptable for ages. Some Like It Hot, Bosom Buddies, Tootsie, Bugs Bunny...shall I go on?That might be the case now but it was not the case as I was growing up. Many of us agnostics and atheists then would not tolerate it. It was merely something that society then did not embrace.
I was describing my experience. Perhaps yours was different.Incorrect. Cross dressing as entertainment has been acceptable for ages. Some Like It Hot, Bosom Buddies, Tootsie, Bugs Bunny...shall I go on?
