He’s addressing what you said and legislative issues along those lines. I learned about the latter from an full-time rv‘er who stepped away from the van and returned to a citation. They’re making it illegal to live in a car or van and forcing you to seek assistance with shelter or risk arrest.

I suspect that we will soon see EBT riots; but worse, I think that it will be a controlled social experiment, to see how the population will react when the situation really gets bad.

Don't worry. The military will continue to get paid. The people who are in power will do all that they can do to make sure that there is continuity of government, no matter how many of those that they were sworn to serve are lost.

The homeless will have an opportunity to pull themselves up, by selling lawn chairs and popcorn at the upcoming nuclear weapons tests.

I don’t know about that. It depends how far they’re in the weeds. Farmers markets are still open and many multiply purchasing power for SNAP customers and WIC provided coupons as well. I don’t know if that’s still the case but I remember when I worked at the farm stand

The problem with situations like this goes back to home economics. If you possessed those skills the delay wouldn’t be so bad. You’d have a practical pantry with items that would carry you through for a while. But most people don’t shop that way and were never shown how to stock up properly. Although content along those lines is plentiful and has been a focus since the lockdown. So there’s that as well.

Yesterday a thought crossed my mind and I said hustle culture is back. I didn’t have proof or any articles to reference and I poked around and it seems I was right. Another wave of growth is upon us while distractions capture our attention. It’s a lot like theater and awareness is important as-is tuning out the noise to get things done.
