French outrage after US President Trump mimics Paris attackers. He mimicked gunmen summoning and shooting victims one by one, saying "Boom! Come over here!" and using his hand to imitate a gun being fired.
"US President Donald Trump has outraged French opinion
by suggesting the 2015 attacks on Paris
could have been stopped by giving people guns. "
Apparently the thought of a populace that can engage in self defense and isn't just sitting ducks for crazed murderers is objectionable to the French but we don't find the idea of self defense that objectionable; as a general rule self defense can save lives by removing the safety feature found in trying to murder people with no ability to defend themselves, thereby, be less attractive targets.
The pantomime or whatever might have been low class for the environment but in the context of defense against suicide bombers and the like it is generally not an inappropriate topic. He wasn't glorifying assassination or threatening people rather he was demonstrating positives found in allowing people to defend themselves against attack. He's probably not the best spokesperson for armed self defense in France, but it's not a criminal thing here.
In the meantime your president is literally blowing people up on the high seas without even a hint of evidence.
I am paying more attention to our middle east foreign policy - and always will.
However, I don't know that much about what's happening with the boats. I haven't tried to research it yet or find out what our various motivations and goals here are etc.
All I know is that it has to do with the drug cartel war that has heated up recently.
I don't know that much about cartels, I don't know the who's who and have no connections inside countries like Venezuela or Columbia.
I have no possible way of verifying anything. All I can do is trust what others are saying when it comes to why we are doing this and trust if this is the wrong thing to do there will be no end of people who will mention it.
Without more information I barely understand what is going on. You don't need my opinion here, it benefits no one and furthers no truth. I do know this is an escalation in how we are treating these boats historically, and as such I do pray it's a warranted endeavor, not that I am inclined to doubt that part because of the cartel war currently.
I do pray that this is limited and quickly finds a resolution. I don't want a new war, I want to stop them but the cartels are angry with us currently so it might not be able to be helped.
And that's where I'm at. I do think caution is warranted, but I don't know the cartels.
