  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

In an interview with Fox News on Friday....

Speaker Mike Johnson on Friday slammed the No Kings protest march scheduled to take place at the National Mall next week, describing the planned protest as the “hate America rally” that would draw “the pro-Hamas wing” and “the antifa people.” His characterizations, however, drew condemnation from some Democrats who defended the protest movement, whose first big demonstration was overwhelmingly peaceful.

I don't hate America.
I am not "pro-hamas".
I am not antifa.

Unfortunately antifa has aligned and intergrated itself into the policies of the left. .... Veteran journalist flips script on media 'running cover' for Antifa violence: 'Anarchist communism'

Andy Ngo was one of the most prominent journalists covering Antifa violence in 2020

....
Ngo’s family history living under communism is relevant in the conversation today regarding Antifa, the Portland-born journalist told Fox Digital, given the underlying communist beliefs espoused by radical left movements in the United States today..
"For a century now, communists and anarchists, particularly in Europe, have engaged in violent acts that have sparked revolutions and the Antifa today look to those historical examples in the acts of violence they carry out," Ngo said, adding that many "normal" and mainstream liberals in the country are confused by the "deception and misinformation" in the media regarding Antifa.
"If you read the mainstream, one can leave with the impression that these are people who are opposed just to fascism and racism. So why not come on board with that, right?" Ngo explained. "When really the ideology is anarchist communism and violent anarchist-communism a lot of them engage in violence for the purpose of nihilistic violence. They want to see things burnt down. Their own slogan has become ungovernable. So if you care about democracy, liberal democracy in institutions, civil rights…you should not. You cannot be anywhere on the side of advocating or running cover for these so-called Antifa." Veteran journalist flips script on media 'running cover' for Antifa violence: 'Anarchist communism'

"No Kings" is not Antifa. Sure, people who protest next week may have anti-faciast views (rasing my hand), but that does not make one a member of Antifa.

Having been to about three rallies in my city this year, I can vouch for the peacefulness and progressive passion of the participants.

Having seen Speaker Johnson speak on TV, it seems as if Trump University, shut down and bankrupted by fraud judgments, has reincarnated to train ambitious Republicans to learn how to emulate robotic puppets.

That is not what the article is about.
Is raises the alarm concerning the infiltration of militant fools and the media that remains silent because it parallels with there objectives.
'No kings,'
Just another simple slogan.
Keep your hand up, who cares.
No one is accusing, nor sugesting that you are a card carrying member of antifa.

'No kings,'
If that's all he had said, then I might agree with you. But also labelling it the "hate America rally" sends a different message. Protesting the current government's policies does not mean that someone hates America.

The "No Kings" protest in Salt Lake City on June 14, 2025, ended in a fatal shooting when a bystander, fashion designer Arthur Folasa Ah Loo, was killed by a stray bullet. The shooting occurred after a man with an AR-15 style rifle, Arturo Gamboa, was confronted by "peacekeepers," leading one of them to shoot at Gamboa and accidentally strike Ah Loo. Gamboa was arrested and charged with murder, but the shooter's identity has not been made public, and the investigation is ongoing.

  • Victim:
Arthur Folasa Ah Loo, a 39-year-old fashion designer, husband, and father, was fatally shot.

  • Cause:
The shooting took place after an individual, identified as Arturo Gamboa, openly carried an AR-15-style rifle at the protest. Two men, who identified themselves as "peacekeepers," confronted Gamboa.

  • The shooting:
One of the "peacekeepers" fired a rifle at Gamboa, hitting him and also accidentally striking Ah Loo with a stray bullet.

  • Aftermath:
Hundreds of protesters fled the scene.

  • Arrest:
Arturo Gamboa was arrested on a murder charge, though police stated he was not the one who fired the fatal shot and may have created the situation that led to the shooting. The identity of the shooter who killed Ah Loo has not been released, and authorities are investigating whether the shooting was justified. The investigation is ongoing, with the case presented to the district attorney's office in July 2025.

That's been the Republican M.O. since Dubya and 9/11. "If you're not with us, you're with the terrists. [sic]"

Where did he refer to liberal public disruptions as hate America rallies?
As a concerned resident he has first hand experience with the events he writes of.
He is well spoken, clear and at no point does he accuse well intended liberal parcipitants of hating this country.
It is the half truths by mainstream media and violent extremists he refers to.

This is the problem, with Trump's workers They completely lie, so their audience hate Democrats. This protest more about Trump being a dictator/King. Trump wants to be a dictator/King.

I agree, its not. Pretty much 99% of Americans arw anti-facist. No kings doesn't own that by any means. However No Kings seeks to put out a false narrative. And it attracts other groups that do rhe same with whatever ideology they want to promote.

But mostly its a fake narrative, which of course they arw entitled to do in a free nation. Which shows how its a fake narrative. Because if we were a facist state, No Kings would not be allowed. The protests in Portland would be ruthlessly destroyed as well as the ones in Chicago. So, March away, they arw just proving that they are wrong.

Should we believe Republicans who say the January 6 insurrectionists were 'tourists'?

Obviously people who would say that have a very distorted, dysfunctional view of the truth.
