Luckily, Wallsten found, nearly 80 percent of Americans still believe that violence is “never acceptable” to stop free speech. Sadly, this percentage goes down in every generation — 93 percent of baby boomers and 86 percent of Gen X-ers reject violence, but only 71 percent of millennials and 58 percent of Gen Z-ers agree.

This statistic helps explain why there were people who actually celebrated Kirk’s death — they have rejected free speech so thoroughly that they were happy to see a bullet stop a conversation. They believe Kirk’s words merited a violent response and relished in the deadly results. The texts of the shooting suspect — in which he allegedly told his roommate, “I had enough of his hatred. Some hate can’t be negotiated out” — suggest that he was one such person.

I didn't know that there was such a thing as a "medical nonsequitor".
By chance, do you know what it means when something is classified as a "disorder"?

1) If it works it's not unnecessary Oompa.
2) Take some steps back and you'd realize that the treatment for gender dysphoria is pretty dang far from "Absurd".

There is a fundamental misunderstanding that with mental health disorders, you can just STOP them. That you can take a medication and poof. It's gone.

Doesn't happen. At best they just tend to minimize symptoms and the impact that the disorder has on your life.

So what TREATMENT do you expect people with gender dysphoria to receive that you think is the RIGHT treatment? I mean, let's pretend doctors didn't know what to do and they came to you for answers....

DNA tests are pretty accurate dont you think? Kinda hard to get it wrong. But again, on those rare occasions, the doctor will make the decision based on a medical diagnosis, not because how the child was feeling that day. Now, back to reality.

Most of these on the surface provide any clear indication of gender (some do....but it is not as "simple" as that)...to say nothing of the other DOZENS of internal physical sex markers or other types of intersex that exist that are not necessarily chromosomal.

Isn't it interesting that we assign an intersex kid at birth and sometimes they still manage to "feel" a certain gender; even if it's the one they weren't "assigned".

Because the government is a provider of health insurance to a lot of people and lots of cosmetic corrective procedures are covered by insurance.

Gender surgery isnt one of them. You cant fix a mental health issue with cosmetic surgery.

What about cleft palate correction? That’s cosmetic, too.

We don't need to pretend. They don't know what to do. Thats why they turned to WPATH for answers and now we know what a corrupt and fake organization that is. We have research done now by plenty of countries who have shown it's not effective in solving the problems. And there is NO research that proves it is.

They need mental health care to work through the issues and cope with the problems that come with the condition, providing they are REALLY trans and not suffering from other problems or trauma that has led them down the trans pathway. They may just be autogynaphelia.

You're the one complaining about the government paying for cosmetic surgery. As an insurer, the government either pays for all cosmetic surgeries; it pays for none of them; or it pays for some of them. Which is it? You obviously don't want it to pay for all of them. What I'm trying to determine is whether you think it should pay for some or none. If it's none, then okay, end of discussion. But if it's some, then what are the criteria for determining which ones get covered and which ones don't?
