  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

FBI says 'a lot more' than 20 people 'may have known' Charlie Kirk was going to be shot

This is starting to get scary because you can't then say he was some rogue vigilanty but this was organized.
I've been wondering why the investigation has been so quiet over the last few days. In the past, when horrendous events occurred, you had updates on the investigation at least every two to three hours (with new facts). But for this case, it has been quiet. I hope the quietness was due to the local law enforcement and the FBI rounding up those others that were somehow directly or indirectly involved with this horrendous crime.

I was reading the text messages between the killer and his roommate and they seemed extremely odd. If those were the true words used in the conversation the killer sound like the most delusional and reckless person I have ever seen. But I really don't believe those are the true words of this killer. Yes, I do believe there is a coverup - one put together by a bunch of some-called clever college aged people (and more). I pray the Local law enforcement and FBI crack this case wide open to expose the evil.

I agree that there is a coverup. When you look at the evidence, it doesn't seem like this kid is the shooter, but just another decoy. The video the FBI released of him running when the shot was fired, he wasn't in prone position and he didn't even look like he was carrying a gun either. Just like the elderly man was a decoy as he screamed he's the shooter, I think this kid is also. I dunno what the heck is going on, but it's seriously fishy.

When you look at the last month before Kirk was assassinated, he had alot of confrontations with Zionists because his stance on the occupation of Gaza and a possible war with Iran was slipping from what they found acceptable. This isn't just speculation, I watched a video where he was complaining about this with Megan Kelley about a month before he was shot.

There's a conspiracy theory that Mossad may have been involved in Kirk's death, and after the fact Netenyahu declares him a "martyr" for Zionism to regain control of the narrative. Kirk had a big influence over young Republican voters who are increasingly turning against Israeli occupation of Gaza, and Israel couldn't, in their estimation, afford to lose control of the narrative.

I've watched quite a few videos of people blaming Israel for it but while it was clear Charlie Kirk was pulling away from being a super supporter of them, I'm not sure if Israel would take him out when there are a lot of voices going against Israel right now anyway from nations all over the place. Netanyahu would still be in power even if a bunch of college students in another country decided to not back Israel and all he'd have to do to remain in power is focus on the narrative in his own country, so I'm not completely convinced. I'd have to see deeper evidence than just speculative. Right now, my idea is on the deep state because his voice and changing young minds to possibly become republican, IS a threat to democrats and their hold for power since Charlie Kirk was becoming very influential to push conservatism and he targeted the source of leftist influence which is colleges.

If Israel lost the support of the white Evangelical base, they'ld lose billions and billions of dollars a year in aid and could be forced more easily to the negotiating table.

Younger evangelicals have less theological reason to support Israel. Most Evangelical thought leaders are gravitating towards a more post-millenial eschatology. Charlie Kirk was from a Mainline Protestant background (which traditionally isn't Dispensationalist) and his support for Israel was more sentimental and ideoloogical than theological.

Thats a good point but most of their funding comes from our government rather than civilian based. We have given them a total of over 300 billion in aid (source) while also vowing to send them 3.8 billion per year. There's no way non-profit evangelical assistance reaches anywhere close to that.

That government money is appropriated through Congress, which depends alot on pro-Israel Evangelicals to elect them into office.

White Evangelicals in the US are about as influential to American politics as Haredi Jews are in Israel. They are a small minority, but they vote consistently and along strict ideological lines. So that makes them an important vote to secure lasting power, and therefore, aid for the state of Israel.
