Maybe (someone always has to be last, even if the entire class is within a single percentage point of GPA) - but also "Doctor". And you're certainly never going to know if he's your doctor.
I actually don't need my regular doctor anything other than barely qualified. I have specialist's and a regular doctor who writes my prescriptions while the specialists tell him what to write.
Barely qualified is good for that. I have specialist's for the important stuff. I don't need Mr. Up to date, just Mr I'm easy and able to communicate with other doctors regularly. .(You check the price of a doctor first to see exactly how qualified he might be, there's a price range from a low end to a higher end, much like bedsheets, but unlike sheets, you get to interview them first, it's much like hiring someone, because you are).
I have a different opinion about my pilot's qualifications - were I to have one (lol) - and my hospital doesn't have to ground all the surgeons for a few days to sober them up periodically before they can work again - which would be the equivalent to grounding planes over safety concerns, nor do they advertise discrimination to my knowledge.
If there's two people in front of you at the Airlines human resource center interviewing for a job, the more qualified candidates of those in front of you should always be hired.
It should be that way anywhere honestly. Then the C average flunky will be flying for hypothetical Spirit Airlines (test flight 9) where he belongs, and not Lamborghini Airlines where passengers paid for the safety features.
Maybe the C flunky didn't want to fly for trusty ole Spirit Air, and maybe he's even a good pilot - but he really should have thought of that before all the frat parties, because the more qualified candidate might actually be black and not desire people to look at him sideways, and definitely deserves, as the actually qualified individual, the fruits of his righteous labor and whatever respect that might naturally come with it.
Let's work on making a good merit based system where education standards are high.
It's honestly educational standards that need to improve for everyone but that's a different topic.
