Elongated Skulls of Paracas, Peru Possible Origins Are Amazing

Possibly way before Columbus or the Vikings, the people of the Caucasus Mountains near the Black Sea made their way to the Americas (though South America not North). Amazing!!! My question now is, if these people did that 2000 to 3000 years ago did others possible do the same thing. So, the Americas may not have been settled only by the people coming through the Bering straits. Historians are going to have to really come up with some new theories now.

Did other peoples do so? The idea is hardly new. While Heyerdahl's notion of a substantial peopling of the South America from Asia was argued to have taken place after the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM), it lacks supporting evidence. However, there is reasonable support for contact between the two around AD1000 to 1300. Obviously, we know the Vikings settled in the North East, though likely those did not last. The Solutrean hypothesis promoted the idea of European settlement during the LGM, but the genetic data is very weak.

So, the Americas may not have been settled only by the people coming through the Bering straits.

This has long been understood to be plausible, to varying degrees, but certainly did not account for the vast majority of American ancestry. That remains best explained by peoples of Asian and specifically Siberian genetics entering via Beringia.

Historians are going to have to really come up with some new theories now.

Archaeologists and antrhopologists might be more appropriate, were any new theories required. I don't think there are. Even if this hypothesis turns out to be true then what we have is an interesting refinement of, and footnote, to the current understanding, not a rewriting of "history".

Yes, I had read different theories about peoples from Southeast Asia possibly island hopping to the Americas (and there is the old standby legend of Mu which would have made the trip easier) but there was never (as far as I knew) concrete evidence. But amazes me is that they came from the Black Sea area. Do you think they migrated to Southeast Asia and eventually sailed the Pacific or do you agree with the way the video presented the trip where they headed in the direction of the Arabian Peninsula and sailed along the coast towards Southeast Asia. Also, any guess as to when this migration took place (either by land or by sea)? Also, did I hear it right in the video that some of the elongated skull people were of those who traveled the Bering Strait way? If so, that is quite a unique culture (in my eyes).

I have not watched the entire video. I am uncomfortable that he is using YouTube to disseminate his hypothesis. I've searched for any reference to his work, using Google, Google Scholar and ChatGPT, all without success.

There are a lot of red flags. Apart from the absence (apparently) of any attempt to publish an article, he libels one of the laboratories that reported they could not obtain meaningful results from the samples they received - he suggests they may have hidden the evidence because it was too startling. Those words have echoes of pseudo-science.
And one of his sources is a chiropractor! But that may just be my prejudice arising from watching too many episodes of Two and a Half Men.
And the routing he suggests is long and complicated. It's not just that he needs more meat on the bones, I'd like to see some proper (metaphorical) bones.
I can't answer the question of timing since I've watched only all of Part 1 and a fraction of Part 2. If he mentioned time in those it slipped past me. I'm just not encouraged by what I have seen to put any more effort into it.

From what the video said, Brien Foerster wants to have the DNA analyzed of the elongated skulls found in the Caucasus Mountains. It would give them an idea of their origins too. But yes, it would be interesting to find out how the Egyptian Elongated skull people are related to the other ones.

But since skull deformation is a known practice, including how it's done, then it just means Group A and Group B thought the same thing looked cool. I don't know but I believe the video was saying that some of these elongated skulls were natural formed (these people were born that way). That is why they were discussing the positioning of the spinal cord into some of the skulls. I know there are many cultures who do physically deform the skull but for some of the skulls in Paracas, this was not the case.

What I meant to say was that the skulls found in Paracas had DNA that was similar to the DNA found in the people who lived near the Black Sea thousands of years earlier. I think I said that correct this time.

This seems like a bit of a weird one, since the generally accepted human migration routes from Africa to the Americas would have had to go through North America down into South America and we have no extant evidence of any human groups crossing the Pacific into the Americas to settle there. The main population groups in that location in the time period would have been from the Polyensian cultures and groups.

Let alone the fact that the timing between the Paracas skulls, which is generally accepted to be 2000BC, and then Black Sea skulls which are dated roughly between the 5th and 6th century AD at the earliest, does not make sense for any sort of migration. If the Black Sea cultures did go to Peru all those millennia ago, why do we find the Peruvian cultures having heavy evidence of genetics linked to enlarged heads while the Black Sea cultures seem to have stuck mainly with physical head binding? Shouldn't the latter cultures be the one with the genetic markers for enlarged heads not the former?
