Charlie did NOT contribute to the toxicity. He was a counter to it. All you had to do is watch him discuss things with students and you saw how he brought clarity and truth to the conversations.
Some of Kirk's "clarity and truth":
"If I see a Black pilot, I'm going to be like, 'Boy, I hope he's qualified.'"
"Three weeks ago — if we would’ve said that Joy Reid, and Michelle Obama, and Sheila Jackson Lee, and Ketanji Brown Jackson were affirmative action picks, we would’ve been called the racist. But now they’re coming out and they’re saying, ‘I’m only here because of affirmative action.’ Yeah. We know you do not have the brain processing power to otherwise be taken really seriously. You had to go steal a white person’s slot to go be taken somewhat seriously.”
We can see in his own words what he stood for.Charlie died because of the toxicity of people who would vilify this man and inflame the hatred for him and the things he stood for.
