Sorry you think resting with God is a yolk and burden, when God just wants to rest with us on His holy Sabbath day.

God wants to give us rest, man claims its a yoke of bondage.

Guess we will find out soon enough.
The law has been fulfilled and not required of the Christian. That includes the 10 commandments which I still like. We walk in the Sprit who both guides us and convicts us. We are already in Christ’s rest so we don’t need the yolk of the law. We no longer need a guide.

I’m not the one using scripture to condemn others. I’m using scripture to debunk you. My judgement is against the doctrine that you are peddling not against you.

You take care also but am not going away.
I am an quoting what God said Jesus told us words to live by. You haven't debunked anything, just used human reasoning against the plain word of God.

You are not arguing with me. The Sabbath is not my commandment, God claimed it as His along with the other 9 commandments Exo 4:13 Exo 20:6. God's people keep God's commandments Rev 14:12 Rev 22:14 (His version, not mans) . No where does it say God abrogated the Sabbath commandment. God blessed, no man can reverse Num 23:20 so we need a thus saith the Lord. All the thus saith the Lords before and after the Cross say the Sabbath will be kept for His people. That's the voice I choose to listen to, but we all have free will..

We have probably reasoned enough, so I will agree to disagree.

You are directing the words of God as if you were God to intimidate the weak to follow your erroneous teaching. That is common teachings of churches that follow the law. After all, the congregants must remain in adherence and obedient. Is called cult teaching.

The Ten commandments say to honor your father and mother

Paul connects honor with obedience

Suppose a child is abused by their parents. The parents say not to tell the police. Should the child obey? There are disputes about the ten commandments

But thanks be to God that we don't have to nitpick about the letters in the law. Jesus fulfilled the law and the prophets. Praise him forever!

Is only worshipping God , only keeping His name holy, not bowing to idols, not murdering our brethren, not stealing from them, not coveting what they have or breaking the least of these commandments what Jesus taught is part of a cult ? So believing the Testimony of God Exo 31:18 written personally by the God of the Universe is now a cult. Many of those who crucified Jesus said He was from the devil. Isa 5:20 Isa 8:20

I was told this kind of thing would happen Rev 12:17. I appreciate the blessings.

Take care

Having a particular way of keeping the law of God is the mark of a high control group

For example, don't do any work. But something isn't worked if you enjoy it

God writes his laws on our heart and puts them in our minds. Praise him forever!

Brothers and Sisters, happy Sabbath! It began this Friday, July 18, 2025, at 12:44 p.m. EDT. The Saturday tradition of Judaism since Joshua is as flawed as the popular human Sunday tradition. Joshua got the days of the week wrong because of the earlier Sabbath, prior to the seventh day of the week, given by God in Jerusalem. The Bible reveals God's Prime Meridian Date Line to determine the true days of the week. The current Date Line was recognized, not established, because it already existed before the British tried to steal the spotlight from God's Prime Meridian Date Line, which had been in place since the beginning. The British managed to shift the Date Line slightly because few people live nearby, to protest the change in the tradition of the days of the week that we have all preserved from the beginning. They also halved the distance by using a negative half. In this way, they gave a false importance to Greenwich, where nothing happens as it does on God's Prime Meridian Date Line.

God’s promise of entering his rest still stands, so we ought to tremble with fear that some of you might fail to experience it. For this good news—that God has prepared this rest—has been announced to us just as it was to them. But it did them no good because they didn’t share the faith of those who listened to God. For only we who believe can enter his rest. As for the others, God said, “In my anger I took an oath: ‘They will never enter my place of rest,’” even though this rest has been ready since he made the world. We know it is ready because of the place in the Scriptures where it mentions the seventh day: “On the seventh day God rested from all his work.” But in the other passage God said, “They will never enter my place of rest.” So God’s rest is there for people to enter, but those who first heard this good news failed to enter because they disobeyed God. So God set another time for entering his rest, and that time is today. GOD ANNOUNCED THIS THROUGH DAVID MUCH LATER in the words already quoted: “Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts.” Now IF JOSHUA HAD SUCCEEDED IN GIVING THEM THIS REST, GOD WOULD NOT HAVE SPOKEN ABOUT ANOTHER DAY of rest still to come. So there is a special rest still waiting for the people of God. For all who have entered into God’s rest have rested from their labors, just as God did after creating the world. So let us do our best to enter that rest. But if we disobey God, as the people of Israel did, we will fall. (Hebrews 4:1-11 NLT)

And here I think we do have an actual 7th Day Adventist? The passage in Hebrews is evangelistic. The Rest the writer is citing is Salvation, not a "day".

Brother, that understanding comes from the message by the KJV against the context by inserting Jesus before David in Hebrews chapter 4. Fortunately, they left evidence of how they twisted the message. The KJV inserted Jesus before David to twist the message against context to claim we have already entered the Sabbath, when the original message says we have not corrected the misunderstanding of the Sabbath since Joshua. The message below inserts Jesus before David against context to say that we have already entered the Sabbath, when that is not the case, because it is not a message about believing in Jesus, but about believing in the good news of the Sabbath.

Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest. Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief: Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. (Hebrews 4:1-11 KJV)

Here is the NLT's full modern effort to give us the original meaning clearly in our language where we have yet to enter the rest, correcting the misunderstanding of the Sabbath since Joshua.

The NLT is a full modern effort to give the original meaning clearly in our language, a full effort that strives not to go against context, like the KJV. The KJV inserted Jesus before David against context while fortunately giving us the evidence of the KJV's twisted message. The KJV's source of its different message is the misidentification of Joshua as Jesus before David to say that we have already entered the rest and the use of the word "gospel" for the good news of the Sabbath, inserting Jesus before David to say that we have already entered the rest, twisting a message about a past mistake about the Sabbath needing correction into a different message of us having already entered the Sabbath yet to be corrected. The original message tells us that Judaism is wrong about the Sabbath when God prevented them from entering the Sabbath during the 40 years in the wilderness, as punishment for their disobedience. The King James Version used the word “gospel” to change the entire message, from the belief needed to correct Joshua’s past misunderstanding of the Sabbath to whether a Jew believes in Jesus today as we do. Perhaps a simplification of the KJV message as different from the NLT will help you understand what I mean by the KJV twisting the message against the context by inserting Jesus before David into the message about the “good news” of the Sabbath in the book of Hebrews. The original message speaks of a past error by "Joshua" about the Sabbath, but the KJV translators want it instead to be about us having already entered the Sabbath by having believed in Jesus, inserting Jesus into the context of an error that began before “David” with "Joshua" and not after “David” with Jesus.

God wants you to enter the corrected good news of the Sabbath "rest" Joshua got wrong before David. (the NLT's simplified message)

The KJV translators then translated the original message against the context, changing the message from a past misunderstanding of the Sabbath by "Joshua" before "David" to us entering the Sabbath by believing in Jesus, who was not before "David", showing they had gone against the context of the message.

Jesus is the Sabbath "rest" that the Jews have not entered and that we have already entered. (the KJV's simplified message)

The woman with the crown of twelve stars represent Israel (12 tribes). The dragon is the devil. The devil attacks Israel but she (Israel) goes to the wilderness to protect the remnant. The dragon was enraged and goes to make war with THE REST OF HER CHILDREN (the remnant of Israel). The remnant IS of Israel and are STILL under the law.

“But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and drank up the river which the dragon poured out of his mouth. So the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went off to make war with the rest of her children, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus.”

I don't quite get your whole point here, it's a bit convoluted. What I gather is you claim Hebrews 4 is NOT saying Jesus is the Sabbath Rest, and claiming that it's simply 'setting straight' a meridian line Joshua got wrong. There is nothing in any of the relevant scripture stating this. It says nowhere Joshua got anything wrong.
The writer is citing:
“Remember what Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you when he said, ‘The LORD your God will give you rest, and He will give you this land.’ / Your wives, your young children, and your livestock may remain in the land that Moses gave you on this side of the Jordan. But all your mighty men of valor must be armed for battle to cross over ahead of your brothers and help them, / UNTIL the LORD gives THEM rest as He has done for you, and your brothers ALSO possess the land that the LORD your God is giving them. THEN you may return to the land of your inheritance and take possession of that which Moses the servant of the LORD gave you on the east side of the Jordan.” Josh 1:13-15
Also relevant:
"For you have Not Yet come to the resting place and the inheritance that the LORD your God is giving you. / When you cross the Jordan and live in the land that the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance, and He gives you rest from all the enemies around you and you dwell securely,.." Deut 12:9-10
And so:
"Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Matt 11:28

The context and message is very clear. The Epistle is evangelistic, the proper translation is "If Joshua had given them rest..", and so stands that it's Jesus who gives the final Rest.

the proper translation is "If Joshua had given them rest..", and so stands that it's Jesus who gives the final Rest.
Brother, that's a different use of the word rest than the one used in the following message. The rest used in this message was established before sin took hold of this world, on "the seventh day" of creation.

Crucial to correcting the misunderstood Sabbath, present since Joshua, the message of this passage is that during the 40 years that Joshua observed the seventh day of the week with manna, they were prevented, as punishment by "oath", from entering the Sabbath while keeping the seventh day of the week near Jerusalem. The reason is found in the Manna story, where we are shown that, near Jerusalem, observing the seventh day of the week from morning to morning is half a day too late to enter the Sabbath. In Jerusalem, the Sabbath falls before the seventh day of the week, from evening to evening. The manna story clearly indicates that the days of the week run from morning to morning, not from evening to evening, as God gave the Sabbath to keep in Jerusalem without manna since Joshua, because the Sabbath is fixed in the creation time zone and does not revolve around the earth with the week.

I won't even address the lack of merit in this argument because it's complete conjecture, however.. it's irrelevant because the context of Hebrews is clear. Hebrews 3 verbatim starts outs saying "consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession—Jesus..", so the relevant Subject of all that follows is about Him, not a "day".
3:19 states what the problem is, NOT a 'time zone issue", NOT a 'logistical mistake' but rather,
"So we see that they were not able to enter because of UNBELIEF..".
This is the only 'sin' mentioned in 10 chapters. The context is juxtaposing Unbelief... with Faith. Not 'error vs error', not 'misunderstanding'.. UNBELIEF.
4 goes on to drive the point home.. "while a promise remains of entering His rest",
again, Jesus invites "Come to me so that you may have Rest",
"For indeed we have had good news proclaimed to us.."
Good News, it's clear.. The Gospel.. not 'correcting the clock setting".
"..just as they also; but the word that was heard did not profit those who were Not United With Faith.. among those who heard."
The problem was lack of faith, not the time of day..
For we who have BELIEVED.... NOT "corrected the Time Zone Meridian.."
".. ENTER that REST, just as He has said,.."
So, I could go on and on... what you've interjected has ZERO to do with the Epistle, so if you would, what denomination are you representing with this information?

*And as an aside, certain theologies argue that "The Rest".. as analogous to "The Promised Land" is a rest in Heaven after 'work' of corporeal life is over. That's another debate.

^ this is not what Adventists believe about the Sabbath.
Sister, our prophetess Ellen G. White prepared our church for the following truth about the Sabbath in Hebrews chapter 4. Her inspiration coincides with Paul's correction of the Sabbath in the letter to the Hebrews about another "day" of rest, without her or the church understanding her message for the future.

Now if Joshua had succeeded in giving them this rest, God would not have spoken about another day of rest still to come. (Hebrews 4:8 NLT)

Our church has not changed "when it is" that evening falls as the next step in her message to advance our understanding of the Sabbath, expressed above. The church has stopped moving forward, maintaining the erroneous tradition of Judaism since Joshua, previously expressed by Jesus through Paul in Hebrews chapter 4. I know that evening falls in the middle of the first day and not at the beginning, as Judaism supposed, because of the Sabbath in Jerusalem, which falls half a day before the seventh day of the week in Jerusalem. This is the message of our prophetess for the future, which our church does not yet understand: the need to change "when it is" that evening falls on the days of the week, as something so important to God in Hebrews chapter 4 that we will fall if we disobey God like those who died during the 40 years in the wilderness.

I saw that it is even so: “From even unto even, shall ye celebrate your Sabbath.” Said the angel: “Take the word of God, read it, understand, and ye cannot err. Read carefully, and ye shall there find what even is, and when it is.” I asked the angel if the frown of God had been upon His people for commencing the Sabbath as they had. I was directed back to the first rise of the Sabbath, and followed the people of God up to this time, but did not see that the Lord was displeased, or frowned upon them. I inquired why it had been thus, that at this late day we must change the time of commencing the Sabbath. Said the angel: “Ye shall understand, but not yet, not yet.” Said the angel: “If light come, and that light is set aside or rejected, then comes condemnation and the frown of God; but before the light comes, there is no sin, for there is no light for them to reject.” I saw that it was in the minds of some that the Lord had shown that the Sabbath commenced at six o'clock, when I had only seen that it commenced at “even,” and it was inferred that even was at six. I saw that the servants of God must draw together, press together. (Testimonies for the Church, vol. 1, Page 116)

The human tradition in Judaism of getting the days of the week wrong, because the Sabbath is half a day before the seventh day of the week in Jerusalem, is acknowledged in the following video, explaining how God by "oath" prevented Joshua from entering the Sabbath by making him keep the true seventh day of the week for 40 years with manna, which is half a day too late to enter the Sabbath near Jerusalem as punishment for their disobedience in Hebrews, chapter 4.

Teaching doctrine as an Adventist that is contrary to one of our fundamental beliefs that we agree to when becoming a member is misrepresenting the SDA church.
