Isaiah 28:1 & 3-4 Alas for the proud peoples of Ephraim, those fading flowers, drunk with prosperity. They will fall like ripe fruit and be trampled down. Hab. 3:12
Ephraim represents the British peoples, Genesis 48:17-19, with their faded empire, but still a proud and prosperous commonwealth of nations. Deuteronomy 33:17

Isaiah 28:2 & 5-6 The Lord has control of a powerful force, [Deuteronomy 32:22] it will beat down violently upon the earth, as a sweeping storm and a destroying tempest. On that Day, the Lord will be an adornment for the remnant of His people and will give a spirit of justice to those who judge and of valour to those who stand fast at the gate.
This passage is paralleled by Isaiah 30:25b-30...On the Day of massacre, when fortresses fall, the sun will shine seven times stronger, like seven days in one. On that Day, the Lord will protect and save His people. See: the Lord comes from afar, His anger blazing and His doom heavy, as His arm descends in devastating fire. He sieves out the nations for destruction. But for My people, there will be songs and gladness of heart as they march to the mountains of Israel.

The Lords Day of vengeance and wrath by a CME sunstrike is the next prophesied event. Psalms 11:4-6 and Habakkuk 3:4 describe accurately how the Lord will not be seen and this terrible judgement will be thought of as a natural event, so secular people can still choose whether they will honour God, or deny Him. All those faithful Christians who have stood firm in their trust in God’s protection and who called out to Him during that Day of worldwide devastation, Joel 3:32, Acts 2:21, will be saved and will be shown the way to the cleansed and regenerated holy Land. Isaiah 28:7-8 These people also have lost their way and wander down strange paths, they are befuddled as with strong drink, they stumble in the Law. Both priests and prophets are incoherent, sickness and filth are everywhere. Isaiah 56:9-12

Today, all Israel, now the Christian peoples and Judah have gone astray, the rabbi’s and priests are incompetent and fail to teach all the truths as given to us in the Bible.

Isaiah 28:9-13 Who is there that can be taught, who makes sense of what they hear? People are like children, newly weaned, for the Word is precept upon precept, a little here, a little there. So now, with a foreign tongue, the Lord will address this people, a people that would not listen, a people to whom He once said: This is true rest, your place of repose. Therefore to them the Word has become meaningless, mere noise to them and they fall and are injured.

People today have difficulty clearly discerning the Prophetic Word. One day, with a foreign tongue, that is: not in Hebrew, the Lord will speak to His people: all who acknowledge Him and keep the Commandments. All the true Christians, who will pay heed, not like those peoples who did not listen and obey their God, so long ago. Zephaniah 3:9 Note: this happens AFTER Zephaniah 3:8, the terrible Day of wrath.

But those who do not make an effort to study the prophesies and understand the truth of God’s plan for our future, will be taken unawares and may experience some disadvantage.

To Whom Was the Kingdom Given? Matthew 21:43
In Romans 3:1-2 Paul admits that the Jews were a favored people "chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God, which is an obvious reference to all the twelve tribes at Sinai. It is of these same people that he refers in the words "who are Israelites" in Romans 9: 3-5. These Jews, these Israelites, limited God's promises to a literal nation, as Anglo-Israelites has done, but the kingdom was taken from them for reasons we may list from New Testament references as follows:
Rom. 2:24. The name of God was blasphemed by Gentiles because of Jewish inconsistency. Luke 16:1-12. The Jews had completely failed as God's stewards.
Matt. 21:33-44; Isa. 5:7. They did not bring forth the fruits of God's kingdom—judgment and righteousness.

Paul's agony over his unrepentant kinsmen is clearly seen in Romans 9:3, and in verse 8 he states explicitly: They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

The Jew, which is one outwardly, is not a Jew. . . . But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly. Romans 2:28-29 That is, any believer who accepts the covenant promises is a spiritual Jew or Israelite and an inheritor through Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Jesus. The promise of heirship of the world was not for Abraham alone; but for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead.

In God's sight there is now; neither Jew nor Greek . . . : for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you be in Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. Galatians 3:26-29

Thus it is: that the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith. Romans 9:30

The great apostle to the Gentiles gives the reason for the withdrawal of covenant privileges from the people of Israel, or the Jews, and their bestowal on the Gentiles:
It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing as you rejected it, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, so now we turn to the Gentiles. Acts 13:36

For this reason another apostle spoke of the Gentiles who had entered into covenant relation with Christ in these terms:
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light: which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy (1 Peter 2:9, 10).

1 Corinthians 10:32 Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God.
Jews,- ethnic Christ rejecting Israelites.
Gentiles,- all the godless peoples of the world.
The church of God,- individual true Christian believers from every tribe, race, nation and language.

Clearly the kingdom promises were taken from the unbelieving Jewish nation —the church of God in Christ's day—and given to believing Gentiles and Jews—God's elect in every nation. To twice-born men, regardless of race, and to them alone, now belong: the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, . . . and the promises. Romans 9:30

The Dispensation theory is based on the same fallacy committed by the Jews, or Israel, of Christ's day. They limit God's covenant promises and blessings to be a literal nation, or nations, whereas they belong to every man in Christ Jesus.

The Greek word for oracles means the words or utterance.

Yes all the congregation heard God on mt Sinai. Yet it was the
Jewish community that preserved the Hebrew Bible. Not just that, but
also the Hebrew Calendar, Gods Holy days and the seventh day Sabbath.

Just as the bible says, the Jewish community, not all of the twelve tribes,
that was committed to preserving the oracles of God for us.

The Lords Day of vengeance

I believe "The Day of the Lord" is a yearlong event. Many bible verses
about [just before], [during], and [just after] Christs return. To many
events to fit in a one 24 hour period. A day for A year principle is used.

Isaiah 34:8 (KJV)
For it is [the day] of the Lord's vengeance, and
[the year] of recompences for the controversy of Zion.

Isaiah 61:2 (KJV)
To proclaim the acceptable [year] of the Lord, and
[the day of vengeance] of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

The second coming is in actuality a continuation of the first.

Luk 4:17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias.
And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
Luk 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me
to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted,
to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind,
to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Luk 4:19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

Luk 4:20 And he closed the book,
and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes
of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.

This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

Jesus was quoting the prophet Isaiah
Isa 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me
to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

Isa 61:2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD,

And here is where He stopped reading in mid sentence.
Now the passage He quoted continues...

for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of

Isa 61:4-7 And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up .......

He came the first time to complete Isa 61:1-2 but not all of verse 2.
When He returns, , He will complete verse 2 and forward through verse 7.

Isaiah 61:1-2a The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me. He has sent Me to announce good news to the humble. To bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and to proclaim a year of the Lords favour.....

Isaiah 61:2b-11 and a Day of the vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn. To give them garlands instead of ashes. Gladness instead of mourners tears. They will be a righteous people, planted in His Land, to display His glory.

Ancient buildings and ruined cities will be rebuilt. Foreigners will serve you as shepherds and farmers.
But you, will be called priests of the Lord and the wealth of nations will be yours.
Revelation 5:9-10 and Isaiah 66:21 tell us that they will be Christians.

Because you have had shame and abuse in double measure, you will receive a double measure of wealth.
For I, the Lord, love justice and hate wickedness. I will give My people a sure reward and make an everlasting covenant with them.
Their children will be renowned by the nations. They will be seen as a people blessed by the Lord.
Let us rejoice in the Lord with all our hearts. From Him has come victory and deliverance. His people robed in beauty, like a garden full of flowers.
The Lord will make His victory and renown known to the nations. Reference: Revised English Bible, some verses abridged.

Verse 1 and the first half of verse 2, were quoted by Jesus at the commencement of His ministry, then He said; Today, in your hearing, this prophecy has come true. Therefore, the remainder of this chapter, which is also, obviously prophecy as well, awaits fulfilment. The House of Judah has returned to the Land, but none of these remaining verses can be seen as being fulfilled by them.

V 2-2nd half, God’s Day of vengeance. Isaiah 34:1-8 & Rev 6:12-17 This is the Day when Jesus carries out the judgement of God’s wrath. Psalms 110 describes it very well. The terrible world changer of the Sixth Seal - BEFORE the glorious Return.
This will be one and the same with the soon to happen, many prophesied, judgement of fire.

...”to comfort all who mourn.” Zechariah 12:9-14 - is for the survivors in the Land and for all of His faithful Christian people, scattered abroad.

V 3 To give blessings the Lord’s people, every faithful Christian and settle them into the Promised Land. “To display His glory”, His people, ’a light to the nations’. Before the Return of Jesus Christ for His Millennial reign.

V 4 Although this great Day of Lord’s wrath will cause damage to the Land and buildings, they will be restored and rebuilt. Ezekiel 34:26-27

V 5 Other peoples will come and help, as they will be seen as the Lords people.

V 6 His Christian people will receive the honour of serving the Lord as priests. The wealth of the nations will come to Israel, as it did when the Israelites left Egypt.

V 7 Amazing promise’s of restoration and recompense. Ezekiel 28:24-26

V 8 A new covenant will be made with His people. Jeremiah 30:34

V 9 The nations will acknowledge that God is with the new nation. Zechariah 8:20-23

V 10-11 A prayer of praise and thanksgiving to the Lord, for His mercy and deliverance.
