So typing 'Australian PM lies' will only get you junk from the usual suspects. Your problem, and it's a huge one, is that you know that Trump lies continuously to you. But you ignore it.

National security types is what I've been hearing, everything it takes to build the war machine, shipbuilding, healthcare, energy infrastructure. I highly doubt that textile, toys, but if other countries want to build here, so be it.

Trump is bribing countries to manufacture here for tariff relief, and some are coming. His ultimate goal is to weaken China and have more of the world take up the slack.

If national security build-up is the goal, why impose tariffs on Bangladesh or Vietnam? They manufacture t-shirts, not F-16 fighter jets.

Basic arithmetic is that the consumption capacity of 41 million Canadians cannot match that of 340 million Americans. Regardless of personal beliefs held by President Trump's supporters, the math remains straightforward.

President Trump did not stop anything. I am still purchasing Canadian products at a higher price. The only thing President Trump has done is causing me and other Americans to pay more. In other words, President Trump promised to reduce inflation, but in reality, he created more inflation.

The new president might use executive orders to reverse Trump's work. Then, four years later, another Republican aligned with Trump could come into office and re-establish his policies. Are Americans swinging from one political extreme to another every four years?

We need compromise and centrist policies that both sides can accept.

I imagine Trump is forcing them to take market share from China, not allowing them to dump in their country and then resell their goods to us.

If PBS or NPR exhibit bias towards liberal or conservative ideas, or promote shows that offend any political group, the answer isn't defunding them. The solution is to appoint leaders who will present programs that reflect American interests, similar to profit-driven media guided by ratings instead of political agendas.
