Seems like some kind of copy&paste text. But it is right. It was just a custom originated during the Babylonian exile. It is not keeping the commandment from the Mosaic Law.

Do you have a verse saying that Jesus kept Sabbath, ceasing all the work? If not, let us just agree that it is not said in the Bible and let us move on instead of this unending dancing around.
do not forget that Jesus said the law would not change, and that he was teaching the commandments.

Look, if you do not believe scripture and do not want to follow the sabbath it is your choice.

I will discuss no more about the sabbath the proofs are in the bible and plain to see. I and others have given you the verses. Jesus would certainly not not break his own commandments, it is impossible.

A covenant just means an agreement. The OP is speaking of the covenant God made with Israel with represents His people and we are told verbatim what it entails

Exo 34:28 So he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he neither ate bread nor drank water. And He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments.

In addition God added statues, ordinances, laws and other commandments, but the words of the covenant are the Ten Commandments as shown by the clear Scripture written by God alone.
God told Him to “write down these words” which is referring to what God had just finished saying to Moses before He said to write it down which was not only the 10 commandments. Verse 34 just says that the 10 commandments were written on tablets but the rest of what God had said was written in the book of the covenant. They’re 10 commandments were part of that covenant, not all of it because the male Jews had to be circumcised to enter into God’s covenant which is not part of the Decalogue. You need to read everything before verse 34, those commandments were not just the 10 commandments. You’re trying to base this idea on one verse while ignoring everything that was said before it. White down THESE THINGS. The only THINGS God had spoken for Moses to write was spoken BEFORE verse 34, not after.

This is what is written:

"In speaking of a new covenant, he makes the first one obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away." - Hebrews 8:13

Believe what you will crypto, I have explained to you through the O.P the truth about the new and old covenant from scripture.

"By calling this covenant 'new,' he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear."

To understand this verse in context, it's important to look at the surrounding passage and the overall message of the Book of Hebrews. Hebrews 8 is focused on explaining the superiority of the New Covenant through Jesus Christ, compared to the Old Covenant, which was based on the law given to Moses (the commandments, sacrifices, and rituals).

The New Covenant is the promise of a better relationship with God, where forgiveness of sins and transformation of the heart are central, rather than a system of external laws. The key theme of Hebrews 8 is that Jesus is the High Priest of this New Covenant, and His sacrifice makes the old system of sacrifices and rituals unnecessary.

When the verse says that the Old Covenant is "obsolete," it does not mean that the moral principles underlying God's commandments (like love, justice, and holiness) are no longer valid. Rather, it means that the specific system of laws, sacrifices, and rituals that were part of the Old Covenant (like the temple sacrifices, ceremonial cleanliness, etc.) are no longer needed because Jesus' sacrifice fulfills them once and for all.

this is why I rarely quote Paul, too many ways to interpret it, to understand Paul properly we need the full context.

do not forget that Jesus said the law would not change, and that he was teaching the commandments.
Do not forget that Jesus was changing the Law even before the cross (for example about hating your enemy).

Look, if you do not believe scripture and do not want to follow the sabbath it is your choice.
Look, if you have no Scripture saying that Jesus kept the Sabbath, just say it without these nonsensical tactics. Why is it so hard for a dogmatic to simply acknowledge facts? We cannot conclude whether Jesus kept Sabbath or not from the absence of such verses, but it is a fact that such verses do not exist. Deal with it like a man.

Alright, then I see no reason to believe the man-made doctrines you are presenting in this thread. Especially seeing as how you deliberately chose to ignore Hebrews 8:13 when I offered it.

Show me the scripture where God changed the Commandments, you can't.

As for God He does not change:
Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

there is more in the O.T. that God does not change do a search and see.

Mat 5:17 Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them.

Mat 5:18 For I tell you truly, until heaven and earth pass away, not a single jot, not a stroke of a pen, will disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.

Mat 5:19 So then, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do likewise will be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever practices and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Mat 5:20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
God changed commandments several times throughout the scriptures. Adam & Eve were told to eat vegetables, Noah was told to eat anything that moves, The Israelites were told to observe the dietary laws, and now were told we can eat anything. Circumcision was a commandment, now it’s been abolished. All of the sabbath days were commandments, and now they’ve been abolished. Sin offerings and burnt offerings were commandments that have been abolished.

In Matthew 5:17-18 Jesus said that the law would not pass away until everything was accomplished. Laws have passed away so apparently whatever He meant by “everything” has already been accomplished.

Matthew 19 obviously took place before everything was accomplished. Christ had not been crucified and risen yet.

I’m not sure why we are not communicating well, but as I said no one is saying God did not give other commandments to Moses, that Moses wrote down in a book, that was placed outside the ark.

Exo 31:24 So it was, when Moses had completed writing the words of this law in a book, when they were finished, 25 that Moses commanded the Levites, who bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord, saying: 26 “Take this Book of the Law, and put it beside the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, that it may be there as a witness against you;

God alone wrote and spoke the Ten Commandments and added NO MORE Deut 5:22 as it is a standalone unit according to God

Exo 34:1 And the Lord said to Moses, “Cut two tablets of stone like the first ones, and I will write on these tablets the words that were on the first tablets which you broke.

There was only Ten Commandments that God alone wrote and God alone spoke that is His personal Testimony Exo 31:18

I’m not sure what the misunderstanding is but its stated so plainly - God wrote the Ten Commandments, not Moses, but God had other laws He gave to Moses that Moses wrote down in a book that is separated from the Ten according to God’s own Testimony

Exo 34:28 So he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he neither ate bread nor drank water. And He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments.

Deut 4:13 So He declared to you His covenant which He commanded you to perform, the Ten Commandments; and He wrote them on two tablets of stone.

The miscommunication is that the BOOK OF THE COVENANT contained more than just 10 commandments. How many times do we have to keep going back to Exodus 24?

“Then Moses came and recounted to the people all the words of the Lord and all the ordinances; and all the people answered with one voice and said, “All the words which the Lord has spoken we will do!” Moses wrote down all the words of the Lord. Then he arose early in the morning, and built an altar at the foot of the mountain with twelve pillars for the twelve tribes of Israel. He sent young men of the sons of Israel, and they offered burnt offerings and sacrificed young bulls as peace offerings to the Lord. Moses took half of the blood and put it in basins, and the other half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar. Then he took the book of the covenant and read it in the hearing of the people; and they said, “All that the Lord has spoken we will do, and we will be obedient!” So Moses took the blood and sprinkled it on the people, and said, “Behold the blood of the covenant, which the Lord has made with you in accordance with all these words.””

there’s no single formal document where the Catholic Church explicitly "changed" the Sabbath day from Saturday to Sunday.
Of course not because the Sabbath is still the Sabbath, at least according to the Catholic Church. Catholics observed the day of resurrection early on, but did not change the Sabbath day.
Instead, the shift from observing the Sabbath on Saturday to worshipping on Sunday happened gradually over time as a result of theological, liturgical, and social factors.
Actually not so gradual.
The most significant change came with the Roman Emperor Constantine in the early 4th century. Constantine, the first Christian Roman emperor, issued the Edict of Milan in 313 AD, which legalized Christianity and allowed Christians to freely practice their faith. Constantine later issued a civil decree in 321 AD, which stated:

"On the venerable day of the Sun let the magistrates and people residing in the cities rest, and let all workshops be closed."

This edict officially recognized Sunday (the "day of the Sun") as a day of rest, aligning both civil and religious practices.
Constantine wouldn't have done that unless Sunday was already the established day for worship. The Church had already done that a few centuries before.
The Catholic Church has long taught that Sunday is the "Lord's Day," which commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Church explains this in the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC):
CCC 2174: "The Church celebrates the day of Christ's Resurrection, which is Sunday, the 'eighth day,' the first day of the new creation and the day of Christ’s victory over death. For Christians, Sunday is the day of the Resurrection, the day of the new creation."
CCC 2180: "The Sunday celebration of the Lord’s Day and his Eucharist is at the heart of the Church’s life."
Yup. Sunday is the Lord's Day, the Eighth Day, the observance of the Resurrection. No pretense that it is the Sabbath, which is still Saturday.
In various documents, the Catholic Church has affirmed that Sunday is the day for Christians to gather in worship and rest:
Pope St. John Paul II in the apostolic letter Dies Domini (1998) emphasized the importance of Sunday: "Sunday is the day on which the Church celebrates the risen Christ, and it is also the day on which Christians gather for the Eucharistic celebration."
Yup.
The shift from observing the Sabbath on Saturday to observing it on Sunday was not a single, formal act by the Catholic Church, but rather a gradual development. The change was rooted in the theological significance of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, which early Christians commemorated on Sunday, the day after the Jewish Sabbath. This change is contrary to GOD's writings of the 4TH Commandment, part of the Covanant.
We aren't 'observing the Sabbath'. It's an observation of the resurrection. If you don't want to observe the resurrection that's your business.

‭‭Exodus‬ ‭24‬:‭3‬-‭8‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬
The book of the covenant is not the Ten Commandments. I am not sure why you are not understanding this. Moses wrote the book of the law and it was beside the ark of the covenant. God wrote the Ten Commandments and it was inside the ark.

Deut 31:24 So it was, when Moses had completed writing the words of this law in a book, when they were finished, 25 that Moses commanded the Levites, who bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord, saying: 26 “Take this Book of the Law, and put it beside the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, that it may be there as a witness against you;

God wrote the Ten Commandments, not Moses

Exo 31:18 And when He had made an end of speaking with him on Mount Sinai, He gave Moses two tablets of the Testimony, tablets of stone, written with the finger of God.

The Ten Commandments was placed inside the ark under God’s mercy seat

Exo 25:15 The poles shall be in the rings of the ark; they shall not be taken from it. 16
And you shall put into the ark the Testimony which I will give you.

Exo 40:20 20
He took the Testimony and put it into the ark, inserted the poles through the rings of the ark, and put the mercy seat on top of the ark.

The Testimony that God wrote ONLY included the Ten Commandments

Exo 34:28 So he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he neither ate bread nor drank water. And He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments.

Deut 4:13 So He declared to you His covenant which He commanded you to perform, the Ten Commandments; and He wrote them on two tablets of stone.

NOTHING MORE WAS ADDED to the Ten Commandments, it is a standalone unit God’s personal Testimony that contains His seal that no one can break, written personally by the God of the Bible, not a human being

Deut 5: 22 “These words the Lord spoke to all your assembly, in the mountain from the midst of the fire, the cloud, and the thick darkness, with a loud voice; and He added no more. And He wrote them on two tablets of stone and gave them to me.

I am not sure why you are not understanding these very important clear passages. The law of Moses is a separate agreement, which includes the 10 commandments because all of God’s people keep God’s commandments Rev 14:12, its what all people will be judged by regardless if they choose to accept it or not Ecc 12:13 James 2:11-12 Rev 22:14-15 hence why God’s law is shielded by His mercy seat, but one day soon mercy and justice will come together why we see His ark in heaven at the last trumpet Rev 11:19. God is not just God, He is a King and Kings have laws and the God of the Bible didn’t leave it up to man to write His holy and eternal law that sadly so many people reject, or they think they were suggestions when they are the Ten Commandments.

From the Catechism of the Catholic Church:

The day of the Resurrection: the new creation

2174 Jesus rose from the dead "on the first day of the week."104 Because it is the "first day," the day of Christ's Resurrection recalls the first creation. Because it is the "eighth day" following the sabbath,105 it symbolizes the new creation ushered in by Christ's Resurrection. For Christians it has become the first of all days, the first of all feasts, the Lord's Day (he kuriake hemera, dies dominica) Sunday:

"We all gather on the day of the sun, for it is the first day [after the Jewish sabbath, but also the first day] when God, separating matter from darkness, made the world; and on this same day Jesus Christ our Savior rose from the dead."106
St Justin, ca 155 AD

Sunday - fulfillment of the sabbath

2175 Sunday is expressly distinguished from the sabbath which it follows chronologically every week; for Christians its ceremonial observance replaces that of the sabbath. In Christ's Passover, Sunday fulfills the spiritual truth of the Jewish sabbath and announces man's eternal rest in God. For worship under the Law prepared for the mystery of Christ, and what was done there prefigured some aspects of Christ:107

"Those who lived according to the old order of things have come to a new hope, no longer keeping the sabbath, but the Lord's Day, in which our life is blessed by him and by his death."108
St Ignatious of Antioch, ca 100 AD

2176 The celebration of Sunday observes the moral commandment inscribed by nature in the human heart to render to God an outward, visible, public, and regular worship "as a sign of his universal beneficence to all."109 Sunday worship fulfills the moral command of the Old Covenant, taking up its rhythm and spirit in the weekly celebration of the Creator and Redeemer of his people.

So where does that leave the sabbath commandment? The sabbath commandment is more of a a ceremonial ritual or statute, not a moral commandment.
Do we get to determine what is moral and righteous or should that be the God of the Bible, the God who Created heaven and Earth that in the Sabbath commandment points to this God Exo 20:11 . We are not going to get to heaven based on our righteousness, so deciding what we believe is right or wrong instead of allowing God to be God I do not believe is going to do anyone any favors Mat 5:19

Justice and righteousness is the foundation of God’s Throne, Psa 89:14 so it is moral and righteous

God in His own Words said keeping the Sabbath is justice and righteousness and He gives man His blessing when doing so and without God’s blessing we really are nothing

Isa 56:1 Thus says the Lord:

“Keep justice, and do righteousness,

For My salvation is about to come,
And My righteousness to be revealed.
2 Blessed is the man who does this,
And the son of man who lays hold on it;
Who keeps from defiling the Sabbath,
And keeps his hand from doing any evil.”

All God’s commandments are righteous Psa 119:172 and His righteousness is everlasting Psa 119:142 which includes the Sabbath commandment that is holy sanctified and blessed by God so it is moral and keeping it was never a suggestion it is a commandment because God knows what’s best for us and knows we can’t bless or sanctify ourselves Isa 66:17 which the Sabbath is a sign of His sanctification Eze 20:12 and that He is our God Eze 20:20 Isa 56:6

Where is the commandment of God to keep Sunday holy anywhere in the Bible? Where did Jesus tell anyone that we no longer have to keep the Sabbath commandment but should keep Sunday instead because He rose from the dead on the first day and went back to His Fathers work.

In the Bible whoever we obey is who we serve. Sunday is nothing more than a tradition of man. Keeping the Sabbath is a commandment of God written by the God of the Bible Exo 20:8-11 and contains God’s seal. Exo 20:11 The choice is ours who we obey, which is who we serve Rom 6:16. Some may consider it just to be a day what difference does it make, but Adam and Eve were faced with these same choices, a tree is just a tree but in the end it turned out to be a test of loyalty.

Ok, so where is that early church? First you denounced the Jewish authorities for focusing on their own "church", comparing it to a false church (which, in truth, they didn't do-they ignored and overrode their traditional teachings instead), but either way you then acknowledge another church that you define as true. In any case the true church would necessarily have to be the one that established the canon of Scripture, defined the doctrine of the Trinity against Arianism, battled against Pelagianism with corresponding doctrines resulting, and always taught the necessity of obedience to the commandments unlike many modern day "churches"/denominations. Or did the church disappear until the SDAs came along? And why, pray tell, would any church even bother changing the way that one commandment was observed, while leaving the others alone if they did not feel completely justifed very early in the game??
Unfortunately there was not much left of the early church according to the scriptures.

Acts 20:29 For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock.

Most of the what was left of the church had to hide in the wilderness, but God took care of them as we see in Rev 12. We see a clear history of what happened in the 7 churches/seals in Revelation as it takes us from the apostolic age to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, which matches history. Christ church has always been a remnant Rev 12:17 who keep the commandments of God (His version) and the Testimoney of Jesus Christ. We are at the Three Angles Message in the Book of Revelation where the everlasting gospel is going throughout the world and our last chance of reconciliation with Jesus Christ, Jesus has people in all churches, but we must come out of our false teaching Rev 18:4 before its too late, because once Jesus comes, all of our fates will be sealed Rev 22:11

You have nothing but speculation to go on as to who's truly being the most loyal now to revealed truth, whereas the church, not limited to the west, has the benefit of its own legacy or lived experience along with Scripture. The basic doctrines of the eastern and western church were held before the NT was written and yet many of those can be plausibly argued more than one way going by Scripture alone, while you have only your best guess some 2 millenia after the fact at the end of the day. So the commandment of Jesus was written in the life and heart of the church and it stands firm on what it received, consistent with 2 Thess 2:15 as well as John 21:25.

Savage wolves have always come in, generally posing as or believing themselves to be the holiest ones, with several offspring wolflings born in the 19th century, stirring and spreading confusion, often silliness, while detracting from the full-true message. Meanwhile God has continued to preserve and govern the church He established, with its human warts and all.
