• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

It's time for the 25th! The insane trade war starts tonight. 1.3 TRILLION in trade threatened. Will there be blackouts in NY?

For H Clinton it was that she is a SHE and that she was using a personal email server for official communications. There was some kind of rightwing conspiracy about a peado ring that had something to do with Pizza.
For Obama it was that he is BLACK and there was the right wing conspiracy that he was a Muslim because Obama sounds similar to Osama or that he was born in Kenya because, hey, he is black.
Those are conspiracy theories nonsense. sigh.

Didn't He give Trump and you free will? If you believe that then God allows Trump to do what he will and you are free to agree with what he does or not. No doubt He hopes you both do the right thing. But if Trump doesn't then I'm sure He hopes you'll respond appropriately.
Well, yes, but this isn't a theological debate.

And, again, I never liked Trump that much to begin with. I already made myself abundantly clear. I picked the lesser of two evils.

Our candidates, since 2016, in my humble opinion, simply aren't the best we (USA) have to offer. We could have done better, but we (as in my nation, the USA) did not.

My opinion only.

Well, yes, but this isn't a theological debate.
Then make it a moral one. If you think Trump does something immoral, like arbitrarily cancelling all US aid, then call him out on it. Saying 'the other option was worse' doesn't get you off the moral responsibility of standing up against what you believe to be wrong.

Yes, I have called out things where were conspiracy nonsense.
Do you think some of the things I listed but didn't call out as conspiracies should have been called out as conspiracies?
Anything in particular?

Then, yes. Trump has done immoral things. Am I happy with all his decisions? Absolutely not.

No President is above criticism.

I try to keep things real, as far as I believe they are real, I call out conspiracies when I am aware they are conspiracies. I am happy to be proven wrong, I don't just want to argue for the sake of arguing. I'm not a partisan hack. I don't run with nonsense. I don't criticise Trump on everything and I don't praise everything the Dems do. I feel I listen to people, so when someone implies they aren't agreeing with what I've said, I'm keen to listen to what they disagree with.

This isn't about Harris. Nice try, though.
Right, it’s about how Harris didn’t get elected because some people thought that Trump wouldn’t “be as bad” as her.

She didn’t win the election. The past cannot be changed.

He's not.
Trump’s just “shaking-things-up” making sure the nation’s institutions are healthy and robust enough to survive a megalomaniac coming to power. Twice.

Cool.
