We that are not American, yet have been long standing allies to that country, do not understand why our ally's position has delivered venom and enmity to us. We do not understand the twitters that suggest that we are in some way a threat to the USA while others like Russia are now seen as friends.
We look at impoverished countries such as Turkey who have for decades housed US bases in the face of surrounding hostilities, and then been kicked in the face with the doubling of tariffs.
What do you do when an longstanding ally continues to threaten and posture itself as an enemy...... You turn to others that you can trust more.
