I'm all for cutting spending. I just want it to be rational and well thought out, not performed off the cuff by an unelected and unaccountable man with an ideological axe to grind. Most certainly do not want it done as a unconstitutional power grab by the executive branch.

What I don't like is Trump's implementation of policy seems sledgehammer when he should be using a scalpel. I hope something doesn't break.

The other issue I have is, should they make some good and rational cuts, will it stick given the methodology? I'm certain there are areas we can make some good cuts but if it is caught up with everything else being chopped en mass there is a great risk it will simply be restored again.

I do believe this because some threads are talking about some people harmed due to his policy but if he is blind to it they'll leave in mass four years from now. Money over Ideology.

Some programs are temporary, if they’re deemed to be worthy of another two years of existence, the programs is listed in the appropriate appropriations bill, (or as an amendment on a totally unrelated bill).

Also, since there hasn’t been a budget passed in several years and we’re operated on CRs and endless omnibus bills, some “leakage” should be expected.
