Name from memory the 6 first principles.
You mean the principles according to your theology? I dont sin so I would say I have the basics down. It's not about how much you know but how much you grow

How to get right? Love

The topic of Jesus is love because God is love
Actually, only faith and trust in the person (Jn 3:18) and atoning work of Jesus Christ (Ro 3:25) for the remission of your sin gets you right with God (Eph 2:8-9).

No, you are right... that is what I am talking about. I disagree. It sounds very good, and it is the foundation of many fundamentalist sermons, but it simply does not pan out with scripture - or logic, for that matter.
God's secret will (Dt 29:29) is always done. . .and that includes disobedience to his revealed will.
I normally do not try to dissuade people from their position since many base their faith on this idea. I don't want to harm that. I know it harms their faith and concept of God.

No, the principles according to the scriptures as recorded by Paul. Word for word:

Hebrews 6:1-2 KJV
1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment
.

  1. repentance from dead works,
  2. faith toward God,
  3. the doctrine of baptisms,
  4. laying on of hands
  5. resurrection of the dead
  6. eternal judgment

Paul identifies these doctrines and says some hard things about those who do not know them:
Hebrews 5:11-14 KJV
11 Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing.
12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Hebrews 6:1 KJV
1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation...

I would encourage all to come up with these doctrines... not theology, which is by men and leads one astray.

Most Christians will list things like "sovereignty" and "control." Yet these are not found in the list. Not only are they not on the list, but these words are not even found in the KJV of the scriptures... not once. Yet many will make these the most important doctrines and prioritize them above all else.

The word "control" is found in the ISV, but to the dismay of many, it does not refer to God:

1 John 5:19 ISV
19 We know that we are from God and that the whole world lies under the control of the evil one.

Jesus said that these are great people in the kingdom

Matthew 5:19 Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.

What is is the greatest theological question and what is the greatest theological topic? Jesus said that love is the greatest commandments and Paul said that love is greater than faith and hope.
WATER BAPTISM is the BIGGEST DIVIDER in the bible !!

If you believe in water baptism , I believe you just GOT wet .

Paul says in 1 Cor 1:17 that Christ did NOT send him to BAPTIZE , but to PTEACH the GOSPEL !!

You mean saving faith in love? God is love. I'm sorry. I'm having a bit of fun. My apologies
I mean faith in the person and atoning work of Jesus Christ for the remission of one's sin, which remission saves from the wrath of God (Ro 5:9) on sin at the Judgment.

Yes but God is love. So we have faith in God who is love. We have faith in his love

Salvation is by faith in the person and atoning work of Jesus Christ for the remission of one's sin.

Faith in God does not save.
