All ticking clocks pretty much bother me; it doesn't really matter whether one is louder than another. :sigh:
We've had a grandfather clock for almost over 20 years. Sometimes I notice it ticking, other times not.

We have a grandfather's clock and a cuckoo clock that have not worked for years. I get it.

I would love to get a cuckoo clock, but my mom won’t let me lol

We have a Christmas clock, that has Santa come out and say “Merry Christmas.”

Growing up in the 2000s, my mother had an obsession with clocks and bought many unique ones.

We have most of them since the move in 2019.

God does listen. The Lord is a restorer. David ask The Lord to restore him and The Lord was faithful to do it. Now we have something better with The Holy Spirit always with us. When I was in Delaware I had to constantly pray to The Lord for restoring me. And He was faithful. The last time I was there(Delaware) visiting family I has a spiritual headache the whole time. This was from so much sin concentrated in one area. If I had to live there again I know Spiritual warfare would be daily. I know you know not me but I just dropped by for a few words to be considered. Be encouraged, this whole walk is about restoration until that Perfect Day.
Yeah, you can feel how spiritually sick - how distant from the Lord - certain places are. And more than feeling. You can see it & hear it.

Good opportunities to witness :) Can be hard b/c the enemy's attacking you too.......

Certain noises bother me. I can 100% relate.

Same here. I have always heard it is a trait of being autistic (I say that with all due respect, mind everyone here), so I wonder why I never, you know, got that investigated. I guess it feels a little embarrassing to try to talking with a doctor about this kind of thing, about how certain frequencies of sound - and in some cases only in certain situations - seem to drive me up the wall, but I have to do something if I don't want to live with this issue for the rest of my life, right?

A passage from Micah that has been on my mind from time to time ever since we went through that book in the last Bible reading thread a few months ago, Micah 6:8 ->

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
https://www.bible.com/bible/compare/MIC.6.8
And honestly, while we can argue back and forth all day about whether to harp on individual verses and passages as absolute proof of a certain theological stance one of the many hundreds of subjects of debate among Christians of all denominations, or to look at Scripture as a whole and determine what is best by "letting Scripture interpret Scripture", I think this one verse is a good place to start with those who struggle with wondering what "God's will for their life" might be. In any event, I doubt there is any Scripture anywhere else in the Bible concerning God's will for an individual person that would blatantly contradict any of the points made in Micah 6:8, on acting justly, loving mercy, or walking humbly.

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
Micah 6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? He hath showed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth Jehovah require of thee, but to do justly, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with thy God? He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? But he’s already made it plain how to live, what to do, what GOD is looking for in men and women. It’s quite simple: Do what is fair and just to your neighbor, be compassionate and loyal in your love, He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God? The LORD has told you, human, what is good; he has told you what he wants from you: to do what is right to other people, love being kind to others, and live humbly, obeying your God. He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God? He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you Except to be just, and to love [and to diligently practice] kindness (compassion), And to walk humbly with your God [setting No, O people, the LORD has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

I had a professor in college who said that verse essentially summed up the entire Bible.

I think we need to be careful w/ Micah 6:8. There's 2 ways to look at it.

Wrong: Justice is getting back at society. Justice rights societal wrongs by tearing down institutions. Blames sin on institutions. Sins are institutional. Indnvidiual sin is a result of bad insitituions. You're 'graded' on by how much justice you do to your neighbors. Emphasizes society’s sins & the world’s sins & not an individual’s sins. You love mercy by bringing justice

Correct: It is the individual’s own heart. Sin is an individual problem. It is about the evils in your own heart. You doing justice to God by doing what pleases him as an individual. Sin isn’t just institutional problems but anything you may do that displeases the Lord. You love mercy by honoring the Lord in all that you

I shared 2 things during the pandemic.. Impending layoffs and crypto appreciation.

Jobs are diminishing and crypto investors are pulling profits. My statements have come to fruition.

Oftentimes we're like the man seeking a sign. The Lord sends the answer and we miss it.

It is 50 degrees in the middle of the day where I am at, now. The soft footsteps of Lady Winter can be heard approaching my home, that she may soon commune with her favorite knight for a precious few months once more, and I look forward to it. :hrelax:

Everyone, may I ask for your prayers for my peace, for I have experienced a myriad of unpleasant and disturbing things in the last 24 hours, both at work and in my dreams. I do not want to say what they were aloud, but some of it was my own sin (for a little knight I sure do have a big mouth sometimes :disappointed: ).

I just found the lady knight of my dreams on FB.

A brunette with an adorable smile whose first post I saw said this:

"My birthstone is a bottle of Dr. Pepper."

:love2: ^_^
