Apart from this it’s common decency to let a person know that you are using somebody else’s words.
I wasn't gloating. I simply commented that they didn't sound like your own words.OK no need to gloat, I made a mistake, I've very often done this I didn't realized it was plagiarism.
Geocentric means that the earth is at the centre. Heliocentric means the sun is at the centre.The title of my thread is;
Geocentric or Heliocentric (what shape is the earth) ?
I like helicopters better. There are more proofs in the Bible that point towards God creating a Geocentric earth than a Heliocentric earth.
What do you guys think ?

As you can't detect tone of voice from text and have no idea of my thoughts and motives, I don't see why you interpreted it as gloating.
Geocentric means that the earth is at the centre. Heliocentric means the sun is at the centre.
Neither mentions shape.
Besides, your fellow flat earther has said that if you argue for geocentricity you are still saying that the earth is a globe. I don't know how they came up with that, but that was the statement.
i) I was replying to Phil G who had researched and discovered that those words came from someone else. You had to carry it on, talk about rubbing salt into the wounds, I'd already explained my reasons.
It doesn't. It's not the purpose of the Bible to teach science. All's I know is the earth ain't no spinning globe as the Bible tells us so
So what are they/we being "deceived" about?OK the shape of the earth has nothing to do with salvation but I reckon there are many who are being greatly deceived
or saying that this belief may make a difference when Jesus returns.
So what are they/we being "deceived" about?
In a previous thread, I said that none of this - the shape of the earth - makes any difference to our faith, or life, and you replied that it might do, one day.Never said anything of the kind.
Why is it deception?Space.
The earth moving.
The sun, the moon & the stars.
More or less everything.
In a previous thread, I said that none of this - the shape of the earth - makes any difference to our faith, or life, and you replied that it might do, one day.
So during the 7 year tribulation you think anyone is going to care two hoots what shape the earth may be; the earth that will one day be destroyed anyway? This had nothing to do with Jesus's return, before Jesus's return we have the seven year tribulation to through first & it's not going to be pretty ride but we will have the Lord to see us through it. This maybe a time when all the truth will come to light.
While there is some merit in your view on eschatology, you seem to have derailed your own thread, which began by mixing flat earth in with whether geocentrism or heliocentrism is correct. Both are consistent with a globe earth. This had nothing to do with Jesus's return, before Jesus's return we have the seven year tribulation to through first & it's not going to be pretty ride but we will have the Lord to see us through it. This maybe a time when all the truth will come to light.

It seems to me that you completely ignored a question put to you by @AveChristusRex and jumped on an eight day old post by @Strong in Him in order to goad her.

Why post to @Strong in Him at all? That post was 8 days old and you already addressed it….8 days ago!I've done no such thing, for one I didn't understand the question from @AveChristusRex & as for as goeding strong in him, if you remember the post it said 'No reply necessary.'
Me thinks the man doth protest too much![]()
