Besides, your fellow flat earther has said that if you argue for geocentricity you are still saying that the earth is a globe. I don't know how they came up with that, but that was the statement.

There are more proofs in the Bible that point towards God creating a Geocentric earth than a Heliocentric earth.

All's I know is the earth ain't no spinning globe as the Bible tells us so ............... OK the shape of the earth has nothing to do with salvation but I reckon there are many who are being greatly deceived. Next you'll all be believing in aliens LOLz's.

i) I was replying to Phil G who had researched and discovered that those words came from someone else.
ii) You didn't explain your reasons; when it was pointed out to you that you had used someone else's words, you replied, "why does it matter; it's true."
iii) you have said, and continue to say, that globe earthers are deceived - with no explanation about how, or what difference believing in a globe earth makes. At least one thread has already been shut down due to flaming; and you start new ones which make the same accusations. So I don't think you're in any position to talk about "rubbing salt into the wounds". A comment about some words not being your own is not at all in the same category as calling someone "deceived", "doesn't know the truth", or saying that this belief may make a difference when Jesus returns.

It doesn't. It's not the purpose of the Bible to teach science.

So what are they/we being "deceived" about?
God? No.
Salvation? No.
Jesus? No.
Holiness/the Christian life/serving God/prayer/reading the Bible? No.

The devil doesn't want people to turn to/talk to God.
He doesn't want them to know that they can spend eternity with him and escape hell.
He doesn't want people to think/know about the cross where he was defeated by God.
He doesn't want people to know that one day, he will be permanently defeated, forever.
The shape of the earth does not affect any of this now, and one day there will be a new heaven and a new earth, so it won't matter then, either. You have even said yourself that it is not important. Yet you think that something that is unimportant has the power to deceive us?

In a previous thread, I said that none of this - the shape of the earth - makes any difference to our faith, or life, and you replied that it might do, one day.

Why is it deception?
The very worst that can happen is that one day we might find out that thousands of people have deliberately lied to us, and are laughing because we fell for it.
So what?
Nothing can snatch us from God's hand nor separate us from his love. Even if we sit in heaven, looking down at a flat, 40,000-foot-deep disc; again, so what? I honestly think that when we get to heaven we are not going to care about what our lives were like down here - even if we do remember. Also, there is no sin in heaven, so it's unlikely that anyone will say, "ah ha, you were wrong and we were right", about whatever our pet issue is. Nor is there any shame. No one's going to be punished or made to feel worthless because they believed that God's earth was a certain shape.
So there is no point in anyone trying to deceive us about anything. It's a waste of time - as is his whole debate.

While there is some merit in your view on eschatology, you seem to have derailed your own thread, which began by mixing flat earth in with whether geocentrism or heliocentrism is correct. Both are consistent with a globe earth.

Now you have jumped to eschatology and the tribulation before the return of Jesus and trying to tie flat earth in with that.

It seems to me that you completely ignored a question put to you by @AveChristusRex and jumped on an eight day old post by @Strong in Him in order to goad her.

If you didn’t understand a question from another poster, ask for clarification, not try to goad somebody else.
