The coriolis effect, all been explained

But that is not what the coriolis effect does. Here is one description (note the fact that it is caused by the earth's rotation):

1 Chron. 16:30 – “yea, the world stands firm, never to be moved.” This and many other passages say very plainly that the earth does not move.

I don't understand why people think it moves as we can clearly see in Joshua 10 that it is the sun,moon and the stars that move, not the earth.

Well, the sources I have seen say that is what causes it. The coriolis effect certainly does not affect which stars we see in the sky from different places on the earth.

Have you a source for that? The coriolis effect affects our weather, and ocean currents, among other things:

Well obviously a flat earth video is going to give definitions that favour a flat earth. The Encyclopaedia Britannica article about Gaspard Gustav de Coriolis includes these words:

"Gaspard-Gustave de Coriolis (born May 21, 1792, Paris—died September 19, 1843, Paris) was a French engineer and mathematician who first described the Coriolis force, an effect of motion on a rotating body, of paramount importance to meteorology, ballistics, and oceanography."

It doesn't say anything about the Coriolis effect causing people in the Northern Hemisphere to see a different set of stars to what people in the Southern Hemisphere see.

No, because the helicopter starts off at the speed that the earth is rotating. A helicopter before its rotors begin turning would already be revolving like everything else on the earth. So it's stationary with respect to the earth. Somebody with more scientific understanding than I have would be able to explain it more technically.

I know you can't see this - or if you can, you're choosing to ignore it - but I will post it anyway, for the sake of others.

In a word: Rubbish.
The creation account - actually there are 2 - does not say what shape the earth is.
Christians who know that the earth is a sphere/globe still believe in Genesis and God's word.
There are no such things as aliens - or if there are, they have no bearing at all on the Christian faith.
If these people running this website honestly believe that Christians - God's own sons and daughters - are not going to recognise Jesus and think that he is the enemy, that is crazy. I would even say that it's almost blasphemous since the Spirit is changing us into Jesus' image, we have the mind of Christ and we belong to him.

So to anyone else reading this; the shape of the earth has nothing to do with salvation, with being loved by God, with being able to serve God or with being able to read his word. Flat-earthers are going to be in heaven with globe earthers, whether they like it or not. Unless they reject Jesus, walk away from him and refuse to repent. The notion that we are deluded, don't believe the Bible or anything else because we trust scientists who tell us the earth is a sphere, is nonsense.

I'm going to unfollow this thread again simply because there is too much ignoring of reality here.
