It was a comedian who is well known and supposed to be funny. He was hired (or invited) he won't be rehired. It's not like Trump said it.

Trump will be speaking in Allentown Pennsylvania this evening. Allentown is around 55% Hispanic and has a large Puerto Rican population. There are around 500,000 Puerto Ricans in the state of Pennsylvania. If Trump doesn't apologize for what happened at his rally, he will lose Pennsylvania, and he can't afford to lose that state's 19 electorial votes.

I dont get that from the Harris campaign. They have all sorts of critique of Trump. But nothing like that.

Americans witnessed the dangers Trump presents to our country and it's national security during his first term and the years that follwed. We have also been warned by some of his closest officials from his previous administration and hundreds of military and national security advisors that he is a danger to our country. Ignoring these warnings and electing Trump to a second term will result in long term harm to our country.

I understand your not in the same battle the rest of us are but in no wise can Trump apologize.

He can't bow down to the culture. The only way to win is to not play the game.

Trump has an organization and at no point was he likely to have been personally involved.

Today's culture is Maoist in all this publicly apologize and bow down and do it our way...

In that environment even if you're technically wrong you can't outright apologize. You can do other things, but apologize is something Trump can never do if he actually had nothing to do with it.

All this public groveling is not something we can engage in.

It was a joke. People will simply have to decide what their own very real and impactful priorities are, whether good policies in our nation, or bowing down to the culture.

Trump is doing this for all of us, and it hurts him the most.

The joke was dumb as a joke. Just blah and not at all clever, but par for the course for right wing humor. I'm not outraged by it tho. But some Puerto Ricans might be. I'm not gonna tell them to feel different.

What I am actually disturbed by is people on that stage calling her "prostitute" and "evil" and "the antichrist". This sort of thing is just flat wrong and displays an appalling lack of character from anyone who'd present it or approve it.

One of the speakers called the whole Democratic party "degenerates" and one that followed said Harris had "pimp handlers" and said Dems need to be defeated, saying, "We need to slaughter this other people."


The language on the right is violent and vile. Some of it was in this thread already. The language was foul. It was the worst I have seen over the years. It wasn't vile and violent with either Bush, or Reagan and certainly not with Eisenhower. The Democratic Party rallies were not vile or violent like Trump's rally. It is a real descent into crudeness and hate.

Either the point of that joke was the Mexican Nationals would steal the fence, therefore Mexican Nationals were thieves or theft was clever and cute way to defeat American border policies.
